Anyone know why Grant was benched vs the Cavs? I know he has an elbow injury that he’s been playing through. It’s just weird that he suddenly fell out of the rotation without any given reason.
Joe said post-game it was due to matchups. Cavs have a tall front line.

Yeah GWill isn't a great matchup against CLE.

I know he missed some shots but in theory Muscala would help more. Of course, Horford + Timelord match up well against their team, and we saw that yesterday.

I'm already assuming we make the playoffs (lol)

But question, does anyone know when the playoff tickets go up for sale? Is it like the night of/day after the C's officially clinch a spot, or is it a specific date in late March? Haven't gone to a C's playoff game before but am planning to this year with my sis (and maybe a Bruins one too)  ;D

Per Mazzulla, Robert Williams will be out at least 7-10 days. So probably more like 2-3 weeks.

Wow. We desperately need to sign a big now. I wonder who’s out there. We missed out on Nerlens.

Yep. Just let all those TPE’s and the DPE expire. Thanks Wyc!

Derrick Favors & Tony Bradley are my top two targets. Maybe Whiteside?

Boogie, Boogie, Boogie!

Will Wyc open up the pocket book for even a 10-day contract?  I'm guessing...  no.

Ah yes, I would also be totally fine with Boogie.

That's 4 options who would be perfectly fine deep bench big men.

I hope they sign Serge Ibaka.

We miss Timelord big time. Even his presence in the paint just improves our defense vastly, but without him we're seeing all these smaller guards and star guards/wings just having layup drills against us nowadays. There's no fear and they just drive into the paint and get easy buckets.

Horford's a great player, but he's not really someone who "clogs the paint" and rim protects at an elite level. Which is fine, he does an awesome job spreading the floor and being that "swiss army knife" big, but we don't have that interior threat on both ends and it shows now.

The Knicks game in particular, all their smaller guys seemed to have no trouble just running by us and then not being met with much opposition at the rim

Feels like this could be a pivotal road trip. I'd be fine with 4-2, but 5-1 should be the goal honestly. @SAC feels like the only toughest game in that stretch (and I predict a loss too). Besides that, we can afford just 1 more loss but if they go worse than 4-2 in this stretch then that'd be a problem. A lot of these teams though (ATL, HOU, UTA, etc.) just aren't that good.

I also think this is a huge road trip because, I've heard former players in sports and even people in the radio say this and I agree. When you go on a road trip and are with the guys for nearly 2 weeks before coming home, sometimes that's good time to improve chemistry, strengthen the bonds, figure stuff out, etc. with minimal family distractions or even outside distractions as you're away. This is an elite team that had a bit of a rough stretch recently. Maybe going out West can clear their heads a little and get them back into a groove again.

Or things could go haywire and more personal issues arise with the group. But I'd like to believe the former lol.

I know it's a slightly different team and a different coach, but even last year in March after a rough 1st half, they went on a road trip and won all 4 games against really good/playoff-caliber West teams. And they ended the season on a high note on a 10-3 stretch.

I'm hoping to finish the season at worst 12-3 (Utah, Mil, Tor) and best 15-0.  Go Cs!

Yeah I think 12-3 or 11-4 is likely
