I'm still waiting for Geno Smith to come back to earth, but it hasn't happened.

Brady to 49ers or Dolphins next year?

Yeah, Tua is excellent.  No need to replace him.

The top 10 passer ratings is so weird

Tua
Mahomes
Smith
Allen
Hurts
Burrow
Garoppolo
Dalton
Rodgers
Jackson

I mean obviously guys like Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, and Rodgers everyone would have expected and Lamar has always had a very strong passer rating (despite him being known as a rushing QB), but the rest of that list is about as surprising a list as you will find this late in a season.

This gives me confidence that the Pats aren’t completely screwed if Mac doesn’t work out. I’d love Geno Smith right now, and I don’t think Seattle had to do much to sign him. The challenge is to ID that guy who deserves a second chance and beat out other teams. It looks like 6 teams drafted a QB prematurely last year (including Mills).

How many of you had the Seahawks & Falcons leading their respective divisions after 8 weeks?

Haha it’s wild. The Rams and TB played for the NFC championship last year, and now both look bad. I think TB would have beat Cincy in the SB as well.

It’s been a great season so far. We need more parity in most sports, so this has been a pleasant surprise.

And to think that Denver spent all that money for Russell Wilson and now Seattle is cruising like that and will have picks to use. Their future is bright. Might be the NFL version of the Brooklyn Garnett/Pierce trade.

Not this guy, though Atlanta at 4-4 isn't a crazy surprise.  The surprise is that it is leading the division because the Bucs have been so bad.

I thought Seattle might compete for the worst record this year.  Them being at 5-3 is shocking.

Love that move.  Ravens have so many injuries already and he is just a great player even if they didn't.  If they can land a WR, then I think they will move back up into the Bills/Chiefs tier of the conference, especially as Bateman is again injured for multiple weeks.

Ravens sent out Klein in trade, but are only paying Smith like 575k, Bears are paying nearly 5 million of it.

If Baltimore can find themselves a WR today, I think they move back into the Buffalo/KC tier, as is, I think they are just a hair behind them.  I'm still worried about them closing out games, but at 5-3 with a very easy schedule remaining, and being up at least 10 points in those 3 loses (including 20-3 on the Bills), I think they are sitting in a pretty good spot.  I'd be outright stunned if the Ravens don't win the north at this point and frankly the 4 division leaders all look like nearly sure things barring major injury.  The 5-7 spots in the AFC playoffs definitely have a lot of teams in the mix right now.  A lot of season left, but a fair amount of parity in the middle of the AFC (and only 3 teams I'd write off completely at this point Houston, Pittsburgh, and Las Vegas - though they all could ruin someone's season, they aren't going to ruin enough seasons to be in the playoff picture).

Nah- Buff and KC are better. KC has a better offense and Buff has a better offense and defense.

I think Baltimore gets into the playoffs as the AFC north champ. I have little confidence that this team can win in the playoffs. They need a better defense and coaching.
