Can the Pats please get Gardner Minshew and a top WR? Kyler Murray isn’t that good…. How about Deandre Hopkins?

Hopkins would be my dream

I see all these people bashing Mac, but I watch all these other young QBs and they have legit weapons. Josh Allen has Diggs and Knox. Tua has Waddle and Hill. Kyler has/had Hopkins and Hollywood. Burrow has a ton of guys even besides Chase. Hurts got AJ Brown and Smith.

Both Tua and Hurts got legit WRs in their 3rd years and look how they've looked this season?

If Mac Jones and Justin Fields (of Chicago) had a real alpha, or even multiple legit weapons I think they'd look awesome. Unfortunately they don't.

For some stupid reason the Pats coaching staff barely plays Bourne either even though he's really good and it's obvious he's like the 2nd or 3rd best receiver on the Pats (and one of Mac's favorite targets besides Meyers)
I think Bourne is in Patricia's dog house for some reason. The guy was clearly our only big play maker last season and clearly has a good connection with Mac. But stupid head Patricia is too hard headed to play the guys who should be out there.

The same with Henry. He was a legit td scorer last year and seemed to have a good connection with Mac and this year hes not being utilized at all. I just cant believe the Matt Patricia experiment has lasted this long. It was obvious in the 1st 1/4 of the season hes absolutely clueless
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

The knock on Mac was always his arm and athleticism but he made up for it with his decision making and accuracy. Well now he doesnt even have that. The dude cant even throw it 35 yards downfield without underthrowing his guy. I think its Zappe time!

He can throw plenty far, just didn’t get a good throw in there.

Thats in a dome with no wind, and roughly 50 yards is nothing in the NFL. Guys like mahomes/allen/herbert are hitting 70s easy. I just know last year in a little wind Bill only let him throw it 3 times. And the infamous play last week vs Raiders, Bill was asked why not throw a hail mary and he literally said Mac couldnt throw it that far

That’s over 50 yards and the video was taken during his pro day. He’s gotten a lot stronger since then. Also, Bill didn’t say that Mac couldn’t throw it that far, he said, “Couldn’t throw it that far.”  To me, that’s implying that the WR’s would not have enough time to get 50 yards downfield because the O-line is mediocre. Mac also threw a 54 yard pass to Thornton last week. No one is saying that he has elite arm strength like an Allen or Mahomes, but he isn’t out there throwing ducks either.

Despite his response, however, fans and many in the media wondered if Jones had the arm strength to pull off a deep pass if needed. With or without that in mind, Jones made a few deep passes in Sunday’s loss to the Bengals that seemed to put those questions to rest.

The first example in the game came early in the third quarter. On a first-and-ten play from their own 39-yard line, Jones threw deep downfield to Tyquan Thornton, who could not secure the football for a completion. Upon the snap, Jones stepped back and threw out a pass totaling 54-air yards, around the total needed for a successful Hail Mary in last week’s game.

Bourne was ranked #1 of ALL WRs on PFF this past week

Wow! Almost like he's a great WR that should play more

I agree. Hunter was an established legit tight end in San Diego, showed exactly that in his first season in NE, and this year has been ghosted. And Bourne should definitely be getting more use.

Can't wait until Patricia is off the team.

Im so sick of these absolute garbage amateur hour NFL refs!!! This dollar general Lou Diamond Phillips says the guy who was continuously moving forward and got popped and fumbled it CLEARLY was stopped for forward progress??? He never once moved backwards. And we cant challenge it. WHERE WAS THAT LAST WEEK???
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

I think we may have found a good wr in Thornton. The injury to start the year definitely threw him off, but the young guy definitely has talent.

Why is it so hard to just run it with our awesome RB on 3rd and 1? Instead we gotta run stupid little play actions with Mac Jones who doesnt know how to get rid of the ball and loses 15 yards

Because the O-line sucks and Patricia is calling plays.  :P

This is true. Lol

I’m not altogether confident in their 3rd and 1 runs, but it’s just the right thing to do.  You can kick a FG or try again on 4th.  Run on 2nd and 19 though.

Kraft needs to force Belichick to fire that disease Patricia, otherwise I doubt much will change next season

Watching this offense is absolutely brutal, especially those 2-minute drills they run

Thats what im saying. *Usually* the worst that could happen is a couple yard loss and at least we get a field goal. But to have Mac doing a play action 5 step drop basically starting the play -10 yards in the backfield and then with his decision making and lack of any type of athleticism its doomed from the beginning lol. This team is just an embarrassment this year

And that's probably the season

Not mad at the defense. They are a huge reason we even have 7 wins this season and they've mostly played great again today
