Kenyon Martin Jr has asked the Rockets for a trade. I'd like to see him in Boston. Young, athletic, two way 3&D player.

He would be a good backup SF for BOS.
He’d be a great cheap pickup. Any rumours on what it would cost?

Please say Nesmith, please say Nesmith, please say Nesmith....

Feel i am a similar position as a c's fan to what I am as a Liverpool fan where I am happy to see what Klopp delivers, i be interested to see what Stevens does.

No I didn't see any. I imagine it would be a late first or early second round pick. Maybe two middle round 2nds.

Please say Nesmith, please say Nesmith, please say Nesmith....

Nesmith and a 2nd sounds reasonable to me.

Nessie & one of our 2nd round picks next year sounds perfect. Do it Brad!

If they will do it for a couple of 2nd round picks there is no reason to include Nesmith in the trade.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

That would be epic. I’d give up all our seconds for him. Adding Kenyon Martin Jr. and Lu Dort while only giving up picks would be epic, cheap talent off the bench. Salivating imagining it:

Smart/White/Pritchard
Brown/Dort
Tatum/Martin Jr./Nesmith
Horford/GWill
Timelord/Theis

Use the MLE on the best available big who can play 5/4. Love it!

The good thing is, its a bit easier to attract fa now given we reached the finals.

you HOPE. we have never been known as a magnet for free agents.

When we were contenders we got shaq, pj brown, sam cassell, troy murphy etc. Those guys were widely contested fa targets with the cap in mind. If you are contenders it doesnt matter what city you are, you are more attractive to fa's.

shaq was done. none of those were big time FA's. come on man. when we got horford through free agency everyone was in shock first time around because we were never known for that. we were always seen as if you cannot trade for somebody you are in a bind because we are not pulling in KG's and Rays through FA.

I don’t think Rockin is talking about big time, franchise talent FAs. We don’t have cap space for them anyway. He’s talking about veterans who are solid role players who want a chance at a ring. He’s right.

Just a heads up but Wyc Grousbeck will be on Felger and Mazz in about 5 minutes if people want to tune in and listen to that

Exactly right.  We also signed other free agents that teams were after, like Rasheed Wallace, Jermaine O'Neal, Marquis Daniels, etc., and we almost landed David West.

Also, I think we've moved beyond the narrative that we're not an attractive free agent destination.  Horford, Kemba, Hayward were all max free agents with multiple other attractive suitors.

Theres a possibility to add two players making 15-17 million each to the bench.

Right now this team is 6. White  7. Grant  8. Pritchard  9. Theis  10. Nesmith.   Really need to upgrade spots 8-10. Maybe Nesmith and Pritchard continue to improve, but can the Celtics afford to be that patient?

So we add two players. One by using the TPE from Fournier and the other by trading Nesmith/Pritchard/Theis together.

Players making 15-17 that may be available: Wil Barton, Norman Powell, Jonathan Isaac, Davis Bertans, Marcus Morris, Duncan Robinson, Markelle Fultz, Steven Adams?, Caris Levert, Malik Beasley,

Do they go add two shooters in Powell and Bertans even if they arent the best defenders?  Then for the 10th spot on the roster hopefully go find a pass first pg for the taxpayer MLE?

Think there's a chance Jordan Clarkson gets moved? If so, I'd LOVE to acquire him. He'd be an awesome, and lethal 6th man for us

Add another solid bench piece (preferably a PF/C) and suddenly you have a team that's 9-10 men deep and if a guy like Nesmith shows improvement, even better.

Have to do something with Nesmith.
Don’t think there is much faith he can take the next step.
