So much negativity.  This is the way the series was supposed to go - they're super experienced.  Yet we're one home win away from pushing a game 7 for the title with a young and developing group.  This loss sucks, but we should also acknowledge that we're still very much in this series and the envy of every other fanbase.  If we lose, it's only because we weren't ready yet, and there's no shame in that.

nah we make the same stupid mistakes for 5 years running

no amount of spin can change that sorry pal

Losing is tolerable, against quality opposition, it happens HOWEVER, how they're losing, that's different. Boston is handing Golden State the title and it's all of their own stupid mistakes, ones which are easily correctable.

It’s just the way they have lost. Games at home, massive turnovers. We all know what the recipe is to win and they just can’t get over it. I fully believe Boston is the better team but the GS experience and them not hurting themselves as much is the difference.

I was probably more upset after game 4 - probably because I resigned myself to the inevitable at that point. I'm not trying to sound pessimistic, and I realize the 4th could have gone differently and swung in our favor, but it's been a rough couple of months and I am ready to move on with my life, win or lose.

I'm just sad that we may never have another shot like this again.

We should have a better shot next year.  The talent is there, we're just getting beat by experience.  GSW are a dynasty who deserve credit.

The talent has always been there, but sadly so has the space between their ears. At this point, idk how ime gets these guys to play controlled ball when it counts. They should be beyond shooting hone runs when it's close like in gm 4, yet they did just like they did years prior.

Same old same old. If the 3 doesn't fall.we suck.  Hate the modern nba and attitude of its players.

Imagine it'd been Phoenix instead of GSW in the Finals. We'd be cooking them lol.

Too bad they got bounced by the Mavs who then got cleaned up next round

doubtful. this team consistently plays down to the level of its competition.

18-6
22-9

That’s the biggest story.

Sure missed FTs hurt and GSW shot a better % but the 18-6 turnover discrepancy and the 22 points generated off those turnovers is the real killer.

I don't know about you, but nice don't envy teams ju as t making it, I envy those who.win.

Still can't figure out why no one moves on offense when GS applies pressure at the top. Numerous chances to cut to the rim and instead we have dudes on the court watching like fans.

I agree.  But our stars are 25 and 24 years old, we have a geriatric Al Horford, and the highs and lows of Marcus Smart.  I think we win game 6 and get a chance to throw the dice for a title.  I'm happy with that.  Our road to the Finals has been brutal too, and no doubt made us better long-term.

Given the age of our team, has anyone told them they don't get a participation trophy? From the.looks of it, they seem to think so.

Ime needs to take some heat!

Letting Tatum play the entire second half was a poor decision IMO. Clearly he was too gassed down the stretch.

They have a lot to work on by Thursday.

We need to have guys on the bench that can play and that Ime will play. Hard to win with 7 against a team thast just keeps moving.

Sorry, Derrick White basically sucks. He is on a $73M contract and should be providing starter level production. I know everybody raves about his defense and quick decision making, but all I see is him chasing guys who have beaten him and being unable to make more than a simple read. The clanking of his shots is just the cherry on top. We are desperate for offensive bench production and White just isn't it.

He only played 20 minutes and didn't shoot well but he didn't turn the ball over either. 3 assists and 0 turnovers to Smarts 2 assists and 4 turnovers.

Yeah, but he had 3 TOs last game and was awful overall in that one, too. I get it, I'm probably being harsh saying he 'sucks', but he is just unnecessary on this team. We already have Smart - we don't need a worse, more passive version of Smart making the same money; we need a dynamic scorer. Our defense has proven in years past that it can cover for a bad defender - I just don't think having a bench player in that role is going to kill us if he can at least score points. I was hoping that guy could be Payton, but everything just comes really hard for him.

Hard to win playing 7 guys against a team with a bench. They put a bench guy in the starting lineup and still have more bench help than us. Playing the bench isn't just about their numbers but also to get the starters rest. The starters looked gassed in the fourth. Smart missed so many defensive assignments and flopped so much it was tough.

Nobody really does anything but run down the clock so we have to toss something up at the end of the shot clock. Slowing down on offense might help the defense but it doesn't help the offense. Some of those long rebounds also start fast breaks that kill our defense. Sometimes good offense helps the D.
