Two days off. Now is the time for Boston to get greedy.

2-0 lead going home would just be massive.

Two days off for them to read and listen to the media tell them how great they are - not always a good thing.

Well hopefully it sinks in that they were down for like 80% of that game

What an idiot. That's like the Germans saying, "We lost battles to all the Allies' generals but Patton and Montgomery, so we'll be fine"

Interesting. As bad as Tatum was shooting, he had 13 assists and was a +16 on the night

Warms my heart to see Derrick White shining at the brightest of stages. He was my pick for the first homegrown all star since nephew left and somehow injuries and a shooting slump did not help. But he was so good on other aspects of his game that he was always a net positive. I dont begrudge the trade. The Spurs need to build through the draft and rebuilding is painful. But good for White. He landed in a team oriented system that minimised his flaws and he has come through.

The salty tears tastes good. ESPN and media disrespecting/discrediting the C's, saying the Warriors just had an off night or the Warriors are too much for the Celtics to handle or the Celtics just beat crap injured teams in the playoffs as if the Warriors didn't.

Feel free to continue with the disrespect if it means the C's winning the title this season!

I'm fairness to Golden State, they looked the far superior team in the third quarter but for reasons unknown, Boston's level of urgency suddenly transformed, their intensity lifted and Golden State couldn't match it. Everything that got Boston to the finals was displayed in that fourth quarter and it has us dreaming of three more wins.

I thought Rob and White really set the tone defensively early in the 4th. Then Jaylen started beasting and the Warriors lost their focus.

It is unnerving when an opponent takes your best shots and keeps getting off the mat.

yup.we took their best shot

they knocked us down

we got back up and knocked them down multiple times and won this decision

now next game lets knock them out

if they go down 2-0 headed to beantown

whoa nellie

We've had such a brutal run in the playoffs to get to this point.  I think a weight was lifted holding off Miami and getting psst the ECF.

Even when we struggled i thought we looked loose and positive.

This team is battle hardened. The Warriors haven't faced a team with our resolve this year. Keep playing loose and free and we will prevail.

They didnt look rattled, unlike that 3rd quarter run from the Heat. I give a lot of credit to White as he was primarily the reason why we still look poised even after that barrage.

Your team scored 14 points in the clutch.

Yep. Warriors don’t respect the Celtics at all.

I guess when the Warriors hit 3s (at 42.2%) it is skill, and when the Celtics do it it's luck.

Maybe Draymond should look in the mirror. His team played garbage defense and we let them off the hook for much of the game, but finally punished them in the 4th. Give NBA players enough good looks and they'll get hot.

Let's not forget that Brown's explosion got us back in this when we were getting killed.
I think Brown should get a ton of credit for that 4th quarter. He started out aggressive. Drove the ball. Found his spots. And put up a quick ten. But when he got the ball thereafter, you could see GS shrink in and it was leaving the perimeter wide open. Brown then dished out 3 assists. 2 for threes, I think. The other the Timelord oop.

And Al and Pritchard and Smart and White hit those open looks because the Warriors just couldn't get out to that open guy. And I think in a way, it started with that Jaylen aggression causing the Warriors to cheat to help leaving our guys wide open with great passing. Tatum's ball handling and play making were excellent in the 4th. Everyone played great but it was Jaylen that ignited it and drove that momentum and opened everything up on that end.

Oh yeah, and his defense was All-Defense quality. That 5 some was awesome. Brilliant riding Pritchard, resting Smart and Smart hit those great 3s.

I'm rambling, but just want you guys to know, I love me some Jaylen Brown....in case you didn't know.

Anyone else notice that by the start of the 4th the Dubs looked gassed. I think Boston's youth and amazing athletics and stamina wore the down and GS just couldn't keep up in that 4th. They ran outta gas.

The Cs have gone through 3 tough, grueling, physical series and the Warriors haven't faced a big, tough, physical team that is going to be going 110 mph in the 4th, just like they were in the 1st quarter.

Think this could be huge for the Celtics. Just wear them down.

Celtics in 5.

Just rewatched 4th quarter.

Some thoughts:

- Jaylen Brown was an absolute assassin. He had that confident look about him and just shredded the defense, scoring and making some really nice passes.

- Rob Williams altered several plays and basically throttled the Warriors' offense for several minutes.

- All but two of the 3s the C's took were wide open. And the two that weren't were weakly contested by Klay and Curry.

- The Warriors kept fighting offensively, but our D made them very uncomfortable,  leading to a number of breaks that kept the Warriors D on their heels

- Derrick White was rock solid at both ends. There were a couple plays where he dribbled the ball into the key, causing all sorts of havok. He really has good instincts for collapsing a defense.

Honestly I thought Curry,  Klay, and Green looked pretty slow in general. And Iggy looks washed. This is not the same Warriors team from 5 years ago.

Agree though that our physicality will wear our opponents down. We have a lot of freaks on this team that can muscle you and/or outrun you.

That is a major problem for anyone. This Warriors team reminds me a lot of the Nets. If you get sloppy they will light you up. But if you play nasty, methodical defense they can be contained.

How about a little JB love too. He started in in the 4th and made some incredible shots.

JB was the guy who turned the tide and kept grinding to cut the lead when we were down big.
he changed the complete energy of the team.

The Energy Shift by JB!

I'm guilty of going to bed after the 3rd. Just felt the team didn't have it. Especially with Tatum. To miss an epic come back hurt and it being fueled by Al, and Brown. Checked the box and saw 25 points were scored off Brown shots or ast in that 4th quarter. That's impressive usage rate and clutch. Maybe Brown picked up some Butler energy. Congrats to them and congrats to those who stayed up for the epic 4th.
