So we have HCA in the finals? That should be huge.

Smart again with the most shots on the team and he still bricked away to keep Miami in this  -- 8-22.   infuriating

... but he was 3rd in assists!!!

He's a terrible floor general.

A lot of those shots were him getting the ball open near the end of the shot clock.  Would have been nice if he made them, but the shots weren’t for the most part bad.  The results were tho.

Agreed. People are really focusing on the wrong thing here. If anything it was his first half ill-advised shots that were the most maddening. The last ones were actually good looks, as he was wide open on each one.

They were late in the shotclock as well. You have to take those.

I HAVE LITERALLY NEVER SEEN A BIGGER IDIOT THAN MARCUS F***ING SMART IN MY LIFE. WHY THE F*** ARE WE LETTING HIM p--- THIS Edited for profanity.  Please do not do it again. GAME AWAY IN THE LAST 2 MINUTES

Yet.... he stepped up with the go-ahead free throws to seal the game for us. We don't win this series or game without Smart.

We win it much easier without Smart.

Stop it. That's nonsensical. He put up 24 pts, 9 rebs, 5 assists, 2 steals, and only 1 TO. That's a pretty good night, some ill-advised shots notwithstanding.

And to be honest, I think people are focusing a little too much on the final three threes. They seemed worse because of how close together they were and the context of the game, but he was literally WIDE OPEN on every single one. Usually he knocks at least one of them down, and I'm pretty sure each one wasn't early in the shot clock or anything. It's his other threes in the first half and some in the second that people should be focusing on.

It's also worth noting that he finished 3/10 from behind the arc.  So he was actually shooting it well before those shots.  I don't object to him taking them, with the exception of one where he missed Al wide open underneath.  Just wish he made them.

Thank God Jimmy didn't hit the 3 and we got the rebound. Flying High!!!

Guys with tired legs generally don't hit long jumpers late in the game, and Butler was dead tired.

SAS is destroying smart now

cannot miss those at end

played well all game held lead

double digits

and almost blew it at end

Marcus really needed to take the ball inside on a couple of those plays for a floater or a pass to a shooter.

absoliutely

we desreved the win but far to close thanks to meltdown at end after playing solid all game as a team

and refs hurt us all game also.

felt like david versus goliath

8 on 5

overcame HUGE CORRUPTION AND ADVERSITY
beat heat and leagiue refs

so i will enjoy it
screw them

first east title since 2010

now lets shock the world and upset kid curry

Our defense really wore them down, just like Milwaukee

Nope , but we've been good on the road all through the playoffs and not so good at home so it may be for the best

Bam and Tatum embrace was beyond a normal congratulations. It had a “let’s play together someday” feeling.

They're good friends. They train together in the offseason.

They were also on the Olympic team together.

All game it was Heat players this and Heat players that.  I was sick of it.  So glad I don't have hear about what a stud Butler was for playing the whole game.  So what, he screwed his team at the end with the 3 shot that failed.

Nets defeated
Bucks Defeated
Heat defeated three times in Miami

Gauntlet well underway

That is really something. And it kind of bodes well for us given we don't have HCA in the Finals.

It was also just not a wise move. He's not a particularly good shooter from deep, especially on a pull-up. And it was in transition - probably could have attacked Al for either a foul, a layup or a kickout three.

Exactly. GS's core is also older guys, we can wear them down too. Smart vs Draymond is going to be great.
