Grant Williams played 31 minutes.  He scored 0 points, had 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 turnovers, 4 fouls, was -11 and the primary guy he was guarding had 40 points in 27 shots with 59% shooting.

That's when a coach goes away from that guy. Also, I don't think Grant plays well as a starter.

I put it on Marcus. He is the PG and he blew too many positions down the stretch.

I think this loss is on the whole team, coach and everyone.  We can't give up 17 off rebounds against their size and expect to win.
That was the game right there.  The ISO ball hurt us as well.  We can't expect to attack the rim with one guy dribbling for 24 seconds.
Team loss...Ime gets a big share for not putting in Theis for the Giannis FTs

Fair other then the theis point.
Dude couldn’t even jump for a missed free throw rebound in game 4

Tatum killed us boys. Idc about the pts. He wasted a ton of possessions.ime let jb sit way too long as well

I’d say rebounding killed them. They got out muscled.
rebounding was brutal tonight.  Ime needed to load that lane with rebounders during Giannis' FTs in case of a miss to prevent just what happened

We're not relying on a rebound if JT doesn't do a chappel Kobe impression for a number of possessions.

He has a lot of growing up to do
JT's iso first half is a big reason the Bucks were still in it at halftime.  his play this series has been seriously lacking.
Not really true at all, besides game 3 (where he was not alone). Asides from G3, he's averaged 29/7/6 on 43% from the field. The efficiency has been lacking, but we cannot win without him carrying the load on offence. That's just the way it is with the quarter-to-quarter inconsistency of those who surround him.
getting 29 pts a game inefficiently isn't helping them win.  12-29 with 2-11 from 3 to get 34 point is not something to be pointing to as a sign he's playing well

Such dumb basketball. I cannot believe we lost that game. The terrible boxing out on a Giannis free throw is just mind boggling. Ime so stuck on that 1 big lineup and it ended up doing them in

BwaaaaHaaahaaaaaa!!!!

Oh man....thats a take! Guess you didn't watch the rest of the seasom????

Sorry, But yeah at that moment...shoulda put in rebounding

Ime got that from Gregg Popovich. Remember Spurs were up 3-2 in 2012-2013, then they didn't sub Duncan in. Allowed Bosh to get the offensive rebound and back out to Allen for the series-altering 3.

Maybe we should revisit the Grant Williams extension thread. Anybody still want to give him $18M/yr?

Yeah, if I remember right since game 2 he's really been a ghost.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
This game and loss makes me physically ill. I’m so disgusted I actually hate reading the discussion. I’m gonna make myself puke and go to bed and sleep until noon tomorrow with the shades drawn so it remains dark for a 12+ hour period of time.

Yep, this one was awful. Apparently some people think that this team has the mental fortitude to come back and win this series. I am not sure how that is possible, so I think it is best if we resign ourselves to the fact that this was a winner-take-all game and then be pleasantly surprised if they do somehow pull it out.

So go ahead, mourn, and take all the time you need - you have all summer until next season starts.

One rebound off a missed free throw and they probably win

They had loads of chances to win but screwed the pooch!

Agreed they were blowing chances to win left and right but it came down to that at the very end…they get that rebound and most likely win

17 offensive rebounds given up.  just inexcusable.  giving up 10 is horrible but if they corral those 7 other boards, C's win

We need Timelord. He is the key. Offensive chokes or no he erases several of those late Bucks rebounds/FGs

Except for the times in which we win, I suppose? We don't have many alternatives with how streaky Brown and Smart are. We only get one of those games by Al, and it would be unreasonable to expect any more. What are the options? Obviously I'd like it if we went more inside (which Tatum did in the second half, for good results), but Milwaukee don't just allow that with Giannis, Lopez and Portis.

No one’s bothered by #JKJB stealing the Giannis rebound from Smart?

Everyone’s blaming Marcus — but when he gets that board, the game is over.

Most important play of the game. Nobody?

Yeah...I wanna see that again...that lost rebound is ball game
