FWIW, his HOF index is only .1223.
Just behind Kemba and right above D-Rose.
He's had a very solid career but he's not a HOFer.
Al’s traditional NBA stats are similar to Kemba’s and they both led their teams to NCAA titles (though Horford’s in even rarer air with 2); but with a media that is increasingly relying on advanced stats for awards (see Jokic’s MVP), Al is a borderline HOFer already.
Before this season’s 7.5 Win Share total, Horford’s 100.3 BasketballReference similarity score placed him among HOFer Alonzo Mourning and another future HOFer in Marc Gasol.
With this season’s total, he’ll be one spot above Manu and in the top 75 All Time for WS with a few seasons to spare (which doesn’t make him a lock, but has him in good company to be one).
Without a title, Al’s case will be dependent on how much the NBA media factored advanced stats and his 2 NCAA titles; with one, he’s solidified.
