I'm still furious about the refs, but at the end of the day Tatum was god awful today as well. We may have gotten by the Nets fine, but when multiple guys (or even just 1 superstar player like Tatum) has a bad game then it'll be hard to win as you get deeper into the postseason.

Tatum needs to take over Game 4, or at least make an impact. Part of the reason why guys like Doncic get more rap is that Doncic rarely has an "atrocious" game like Tatum did today. Even when they do poorly they still find other ways to make an impact.

Just watched in delay and the bucks had 4 points gifted bc of the Giannis goaltend and the Giannis foul on grant. So we should have def won if not for the biased officiating.

That being said, we missed a lot of FT do you gotta move on.

- Finally, great fight in this team to come back after that woeful 3rd quarter to take the lead but man did they screw it up in the last minute.  chucking 3's instead of going for a better shot and that drive by Jaylen should have  resulted in him going to the line because he looked like he got held in the air.  C's should have pulled this out after getting the lead -- Ime should have called a TO to settle them down and work the game for a win.

Right on target. What a tremendous job coming back from 14 down on the road during a horrid third quarter to get the lead.
And that last minute was a disaster - we made some dumb plays. JBrown continues his bad habit of dribbling into traffic and turning the ball over. Yes, he makes some amazing twisting layups occasionally, but more often than not, he loses the ball. We took the lead, then got a stop and the ball and Brown just goes recklessly flying into three defenders when he should have been smarter.

So the refs killed us and we hurt ourselves as well. If we lose this series, this one is gonna sting for a long time.

Missing those open 3 point shots with a lead and a minute left was the game, IMO.  Hitting one of those would have been the dagger.

I just saw the foul on Marcus for the first time. There's no way on God's green earth that that was not a shooting foul.

I have yet to see the Jrue Holiday charge.

If you value a healthy blood pressure I recommend against it.

In a 2-point loss, the terrible officiating absolutely dictated the game. 2 huge calls that I thought really hurt the C’s:
1) Smart’s attempt being called on the floor instead of a 3 point shot
2) Giannis’ uncalled goaltend on Tatum’s floater that led to a 3 (5-point swing)

Those are 2 huge calls that turned the tide imo. There were lots of other questionable calls (charge/blocks, mostly) but you can see why in a bang-bang 50-50 situation, it’d be tough to get it right. Those 2 calls were obvious as day and for officials to get it wrong is pathetic. Bring back the 2-min replay rule please!!! But only for out of bounds, goaltends, shot clock violations, foot on the line threes, and determining if 2/3 shots on the FT.

I only got to watch the game now. The biggest positive I can take away is that Giannis had a blinder, Tatum had a shocker and the team overall shot 38% and yet it went down to either/both a bad call and a bad bounce at the end. They're the defending champs, to be the best we have to beat the best, and if we have to beat the refs too so be it. The team can't control bad calls but they can control how they respond to them. Control the controllables. We still have two chances to steal one on their floor. Preferably on Monday.

Offensively, It's not WE

Our 3 ballhandlers have sucked and Tatum's not close to being the player he aspires to be, but he's getting a lot of attention. Tatum was awful in Game 3. The biggest series culprit is Smart though with rough outings in both games he played in.

Defense has been excellent.

No use blaming the refs

Was the spread -2 tonight? Pathetic

I think it was Bucks -3 or -2.5

If you bet on the Bucks tonight, you lost

Points apart; JT assists and rebounds stats were awful.

1 rebound; 3 assists?

a player of JT caliber has to find ways to impact a game other ways than scoring.  Heck, he wasn’t even guarding Gianis for the most part..

Massive missed opportunities. I know the refs seem to be a common theme on the thread but that’s not why they lost. Cs got a lot of calls their way that game but didn’t get them down the stretch. That being said, I think they really shot themselves in the foot, especially in that 3rd quarter where they fell apart. I thought their offensive execution left a lot to be desired. This was a pretty winnable game bad calls or not.

The Celtics lost by 2 points.  Even disregarding the crap they let Giannis do, there were 2 non calls on goaltends that were clearly missed.  One defensively on Giannis and one offensively on Portis.  Those 2 calls are made correctly and the Celts win the game.  This was not our best game, but we had a chance to win on the road and it was unfairly taken from us.  I would love it if we could beat the refs and the Bucks, but it wasn’t in the cards yesterday.  It’s just sad that we can’t win a scrappy game because of horrible officiating.
