So tired of watching our proud franchise get stepped on during the Stern/Silver 'n Gold administrations

Thank You, my sentiments exactly.

Stern hated Red and screwed him every chance he could. Red had no use for the guy when he became commissioner in '84 and obviously wanted the Lakers to win the finals. After that, Stern acted like he had little-man's-syndrome trying to get back at Red and the Celtics.

Serpent-face Silver hates tradition and wants to hand the league over to the woke crowd, trying to be the "players commissioner."

That was definitely a 3p foul on Marcus lol. How can you even debate that

https://twitter.com/evanfourmizz/status/1523064027559362561?s=21&t=gHrHzML4tdEOQchqtEiA_w

Why is Smart even getting the ball there? He was 1-8 from 3pt in the game. He’s not a good shooter. It was a terrible play call by the coach.

Cuz Tatum played scared today

Tatum was awful, so let Brown get the ball for the last shot or even Horford. He was 4-7 from 3pt. Smart should never have had the ball there.
Quoting Nick from the now locked Ime thread:

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Brown had the ball on that last play and was dribbling around in a circle before he got stuck and dumped it off to Smart.

The good news is Giannis went off, Tatum had a bad game and they almost pulled it out. I still like the C's to win the series.

NBA wont let them lose

I'm starting to get the sense that you might think the league is rigged.

Anyone who's watched for years knows it is.

If rigged, it would make more sense to me to favor the C's.  I don't believe refs/league are conspiring to assure that every team the C's play wins.  Seems ridiculous and actually perilous to the league were it to be uncovered as true.

Bad calls today though.

NBA favors 7-game series. Buckle up.

Hey remember ‘08? Two 7-gamers to start the playoffs. We can do this.

That I could believe, I guess.  In that case, we can be assured that the refs will make favorable calls for the C's in Game 4.

But I'm wondering if someone can describe your take on how the scenario unfolds that refs are told to call games unfairly.  Obviously not a memo from Silver or head of refs.  How does a clear message of cheating get purveyed to all refs with assurance that all refs will keep it close to the vest.  All refs retire at some point.  Do they all sign NDAs?

Obviously, I'm dubious that it's a league conspiracy and that it seems to always work against the Celtics.

Tatum played like a wet leaf today.  Even that last play on D

He looked like his girlfriend just broke up with him.
A real superstar having a bad shooting game will always find other ways to help his team win.

Scott Foster and Tim Donaghy exchanged 30 second phone calls before every game Donaghy bet on. Scott Foster is now arguably the league's top ref.

Explain that to me please

The refs have given THe Bucks the whistle in all three games so far why are they changing in game 4 in Milwaukee?

Because this has the makings of a classic 7 game series and the NBA wants that.

Yeah, basically. The amount of money in these huge TV deals puts a lot of pressure on the league to deliver extra games and high ratings. Instead of having confidence that the sport sells itself and that integrity will increase long term viewership, they go the Evil Easy way and manually guide series.

The C's, 2001 Kings, 2005 Mavs, and so many other clubs are fun to watch and would generate massive revenue in their own right. But the league goes for the sure thing, the Lakers, Lebron, Giannis, etc.

Then their corrupt media partners - the ones airing the games - report on those same games and ignore the corruption because it helps short term ratings.

Sooooo many people I know don't take this league seriously. It takes a special kind of self hating fan to tolerate it long term.

They alienate potential lifelong fans with this garbage,  it is a true disgrace.

This was beyond bad. Tim Donaghy already spilled the NBA beans but people still want to believe. This was a wire to wire fix.

NBA officiating is the worst and corrupt

NFL is next and purely entertainment and not a competitive sport read their charter

then NHL

MLB has the best officiating out of all pro leagues.
LET'S GO CELTICS!
