People are saying "boston needs to just shoot better from threes", not really the case. As people have pointed out they shot better than their average. "Pull Lopez out of the middle" Horford was Shooting a lot from deep and Lopez went out to contest some of them from memory. This is were Williams lack of shot is hurting, and really needs to work on a 15-18 footer.
Boston needs to move the ball from side to side faster and often, get Mil out of position and scrambling and then attack the rim drawing fouls getting Lopez,Giannis in a bit of trouble early in both halfs. Tatum and Brown have to be more aggressive. Post Al.
It felt like Boston did that a bit n the first quarter but once Mil stepped their D up they coward.
This team is close, maybe they figure it out, Mil is were Boston wants to be, but Mil has some better pieces right now, or at least ones that are stepping up. And thats what Stevens off season will be. He did a good job getting the team cleaned up and giving them a base. Not sure if it's as simple as adding a Horford replacement with the TE, adding some role players with it, or Moving on from Brown(who I love) with some one a bit more consistent, better ball handler to break halfcourt D.
I mean this team is young though, Jordan took his beatings at Brown and Tatums age. If they can't beat Mil, it might be like Jordan having to over come Detroit. Part of growing up.
