Timelord off the bench (or starting but only playing 3-4 minutes a quarter) would be fantastic. Can let us get Theis and Horford's minutes to a more reasonable level.

Those loose rebounds won't be going Brooklyn's way anymore.

Yeah and it's also some extra fouls for the team to use. I have a feeling that'll become an issue in the next few games if the refs decide to call it one way. Without Timelord, things could get dicey if either Al or Theis got in foul trouble early

Also since Timelord will be on a minutes restriction in Game 3 anyways I think it's not an issue if he gets into foul trouble early since he's not playing heavy minutes in Game 3 as is lol

And speaking of fouling, if they ever play simmons, thats 6 more fouls for hack a ben

If TL can play like TL even just in limited minutes, this Nets team can’t beat the C’s. I see a bunch of plays throughout the game where Theis tries his best but he’s just not as physically gifted as TL. Again, Theis has been great for us but there’s a reason why TL finished in the top 10 in DPOY and Theis didn’t. If those plays end up as stops or as buckets, these games wouldn’t be as tight.

He gives us a whole other vertical level. I'm amazed he's back this soon. Sports medicine is amazing!

Play Rob when Drummond sits.  He doesn't need to be banging with the big guy on his first game back.

I got in a little pregame debate with a friend who thought the Celtics were making a mistake by risking playing Timelord tonight.   “Why risk it?”, he surmised.

I felt like, if he’s ready, he’s ready.  And if he’s ready you’d be foolish to not play him in a tightly contested series.

I saw everything I need to tonight.  Rob looks like himself.  Perfect opportunity to stretch him out some more in Game 4.

It’s really exciting to think of where this team can go if they stay healthy.  And it’s great to have Rob Williams back out there.  He was such a huge part of the Celts resurgence and enjoyable brand of hoops.

I was worried we were rushing him back, but clearly he’s 💯 and that’s extra clear in the post-game conference. He’s a young man and managed to recover more quickly than most. We are blessed by the Basketball Gods, it seems. Hopefully this continues.

He had a couple emptyjumps where he just went and skied for a rebound that bounced the other direction instead, that looked insane.

Like he never left.

Dude has the sickest pogo jumps I've seen in a while.

Gosh I missed him.

TIMELORD changes how the Nets play when he's on the floor. I see them passing up shots and doing things they wouldn't ordinarly do weather he has to jump or not. He's such a unique player. We are a better team with him.

Yup …he has his opponents attention, , they alter what they do and this messes with the timing ,shot  angles and gets in their heads .  They know he can block anybody’s shot , KD , Lebron ,  doesn’t matter .  Has em taking more difficult shots .

Rob and Al.work great together protecting the lanes ,  If somebody happens to get by SMART , Brown or Tatum .

Every time a Nets player goes into the paint when Timelord is on the floor, they are looking over their shoulder and up in the sky for the human fly swatter! He changes everything down there.

To me, making TL available for Game 3 is more about Game 6 and 7 (or next series)..than it is about Game 3.  The dude has been out  and needs his reps before the truly big games.

He has nice lateral quickness and is learning to play team D so well too

Deandre had more oomph in his game in his prime, but man I am excited to watch time Lord grow

Interesting you should bring up Deandre. Because other than the penchant for alley-oops, they really aren't very similar.

Deandre was a bull, Rob's a panther.

Deandre could sky in a straight line probably higher than Rob (hence the oomph), but Rob has a quicker second hop - and as you know, he has superior lateral quickness.

Deandre was a stronger big-defender; both are/were able to help in short space. (Rob can cover more ground, however.)

Both were willing to be junkers on offense, but Rob has a feel for offensive flow in the half-court and is a far superior passer.

Biggest difference of all - Rob isn't a liability on the FT line.

I think the comparison was in jumps alone, because that's where the similarities end for the most part. I guess they both have braids.

DeAndre could launch higher, but TimeLord gets up quicker and his second jump is faster than any I've ever seen.
