Can we even sign an insurance big just in case? We have one slot open right?
Yes and it’s a good thing - next big on our bench is Luke Kornet…..
Yes, and it’s a good thing. Because the next big off the bench is Luke Kornet…

Who could we even sign?

The Daniel Theis signing is looking smarter every day.

We could sign someone, but I don't believe anyone we sign now would be playoff eligible.

If the player hasn’t been on an NBA roster since March 1st, he’d be eligible, but it’s pretty slim pickings once you’re in late March.

The lack of a quality big like Rob will be tough. Hopefully it's a minor setback and not some ACL or mcl injury. Get him rested for playoffs.

I think old friend Aron Baynes was looking to get back into the NBA after a devastating injury, that I think he is completely recovered from now. I’d give him a 10 day contract to take a look.

I knew this was too good to be true.

If you are a fan of the Boston Celtics or of Tennessee Vols football, you know for a fact that no matter how well things are going, eventually you will be kicked in the balls.

"Lateral knee Pain" where the player isn't even sure on what play he got hurt is a classic description of tissue damage,
as in a tear of the meniscus or the ligament.

I would love to get Aaron Baynes back on our team, even without any injuries.
He could provide some interior muscle that we lack and that we will need at times.

I’m predicting an LCL injury ….common to lateral side of knee .  Painful thing.
Heard no mention of a pop which is good news.

If he only stressed the LCL , it’s possible it can heal itself .   Time ???  ???

It was only a matter of time. He was due for an injury. He’s probably coming off the longest prolonged healthy stretch of his career. Pretty awful timing. Let’s hope he’ll be back in a few weeks.

His career is essentially over after what he went through at the Olympics, sadly.

I'm literally going to cry if it ends up being something like a meniscus tear. Why does this always happen to us???

The Theis trade just looks so much better now. He’s no Timelord but hopefully he can man the slot until TL heals. I’m excited to see what Brad has under his sleeve with that extra spot in the line up.

Yeah, great call on ditching Kanter. Clearly couldn't deal with our defensive rotations.

Theis has been picking our defense up rather expeditiously actually. Not gonna lie; am surprised, pleasantly!

Yes, $9m a year seems a lot until you actually need it. Theis isn’t Timelord in terms of his defensive presence but he can play that roving rim protector role adequately enough, and he can stretch the floor if we need him to step in for a few games. He could cover for Horford if needed too.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

I was looking at the free agent centers available…jahlil okafor, cody zeller, ersan ilyasova, marc gasol, meyers leonard. Slim pickings for sure.
