What former Celtic, if any, does Derrick White remind you of?

I get some Delonte West vibes - obviously a better athlete, but a big point guard who hustles and has some of that old Celtic tenacity.

I still don't like the trade, but I'm trying to see the upside.

Kinda like Fultz with his shifty athleticism and length.

Reminds me of a slightly worse shooting Josh Richardson.

I think the Marcus smart comparisons are accurate.  Similar size and game.  On the plus side, whites shot looks free and easy.  I’m banking that the percentage will go up with open looks.  On the downside, he not strong as I imagined.  Won’t be able to guard fours like smart can do for some seconds.

DW seems to play a lot like the kid, Derrick White, that the Celtics just traded for.

Oh wait....nevermind.

I take it you’ve not ever seen him play?

If White finds his jumper he’s Danny Ainge 2.0

White is fine but between him and Richardson is a wash, and we gave up a bunch to get him. I don't think Theis is going to be that useful when push comes to shove considering he is shooting career lows from the field and 3pt% so we gave up 2 and a half pieces to get one. We got thinner and worse at shooting

TP's to both of you for the laughs. Well played, sirs!

'I was proud of Marcus Smart. He did a great job of keeping us together. He might not get credit for this game, but the pace that he played at, and his playcalling, some of the plays that he called were great. We obviously have to rely on him, so I’m definitely looking forward to Marcus leading this team in that role.' - Jaylen Brown, January 2021
