Needed to sub in Theis at the end for Giannis' free throws.  Failure to secure that rebound cost us the game.

Except we had it secured and Marcus and Jaylen didn’t communicate and Jaylen punched it out of Marcus’ hands.

All that said, that might be one of the most monumental playoff losses. In control of the game most of the 2nd half, and a chance to put yourself in real control of the series, and now need something pretty improbable to happen to win. Not good.

Except we never secured it at all.  If you want to maximize your chances of grabbing a free throw rebound, put in your bigs.  Coaches do it all the time.  Ime failed in this regard.

Yup.

Rookie mistake!

Coach cost them another game.
the players cost the game.  Brown and Smart knocking into each other to allow Portis to get the rebound is on them, not Ime.  though I do think Ime should have pulled Tatum in that first half when he was constantly going iso and bricking shots

I get that the players play the game, but the coach is supposed to put said players in a position to win and he doesn’t. I’ve been worried for a while that he would cost the C’s close games and it’s happened twice in this series alone. If the C’s had the Bucks coach, Boston is advancing to the conference finals right now.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Ime certainly dropped the ball this game, but I'll look at it as a learning experience.

I will say, it never felt like we had any good ATO plays in the 2nd half. Like they all ended up in either turnovers or terrible shots

Same thing happened when they lost on 05/07. He doesn’t seem to see things that are painfully obvious. Udoka is a players coach, but not very good with the X’s and O’s. If the C’s had the Bucks coach they’d be advancing to the conference finals right now.

Ime biggest fail isn't an ATO play, but the fact he can't get his supposed leaders of the team to stop crying to the refs and get back on D. 2 close games that we might win if our guys play like men instead of whining children.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

Ime needs more guys that he can trust in the playoffs and during the season. You should have at least 9 guys you can play if needs be. Ime has 7.

With Williams out and Pritchard not ready for prime time your playing 7 guys
Players are tired and it showed at the end

You call for Theis for rebounding at the end? Wasn’t it Theis who never left his feet in game 3 or 4 on a missed free throw Lopez dunked over him?

It’s all a catch 22

Again your two players short. A legit Veteran ball handler and another shooter

Stevens has work to do

"Ime's biggest fail isn't something directly in his control, but rather the psychology of his players that he has no control over".

Have I got that right?
