ya no excuse for this one. Yes, you're shorthanded. So are the Cavs. Yes you're on the second night of a back to back. But so are the Cavs. Up 19 at one point. How do you lose a game in which you allow 9 points in a quarter?

I don't think there's any excuse. This will sting but hopefully they learn from it. This team really just needs to get better at closing out games, whether it's the starters or the bench. It's just that when we're good we can be really good, but when we're bad we're terrible, and it can happen in the same game, and we only need to be terrible for a quarter or less to lose the game.

Then again things could be worse...we could be the Fakers...(oh wait they have a better record than us  :( )

Tatum with 6 TOs.  Unacceptable for our all pro player.

Some of those were due to JT trying to go through traffic and either losing the ball or kicking out too late. He needs to be better for sure.

I hope Brad forces Ime and the team to watch that 4th quarter 10 times.  Get it into their thick heads that you cannot keep collapsing like this.

Ime sounds mad at the press conference. Says the team has to "toughen up, learn, grow, move on".

Says "everyone has to step up, we have guys playing heavy minutes, others have to step up".

What the hell has happened to Payton?

He got figured out halfway through last season.

Remember how he suddenly got less playtime?

He kept getting pressed, and got stuck in the key on every single drive, having picked up the ball.

tatum, the “elite” all-star: 8 FG, 2 AST, 4 REB, 36% FG, 12% 3P%, 6 TO, and zero defensive effort.

he’s never gonna be that guy.
Where were you the last 3 games with these takes?

three whole games?!?

he played lights-out against the mavs, shot 33% against the raptors, played well against the bucks, and tonight was another complete stinker in all regards. this perfectly demonstrates his problem. year five and he vacillates between great and liability from one game to the next. he’s an inconsistently good player; not great and he never will be.

Smart, Payton, Parker, and Nessie played about 76 min and they went 0/8 for 3s.  Unacceptable.

Bad loss. This team seriously missed Al and Jaylen tonight.

Jayson has to get out of his funk. This team can't afford for him to continue to score less points than FGAs.

Well he has to learn to manage the game as well. I mean if you see your bench imploding, you have to call the early timeout. That line up,tomend the 3rd quarter was brutal.

Payton probably wishes he was playing 40 years ago when there was hardly any video and film session because he may have got through another couple of seasons before getting figured out

What a waste of time to watch this game and lose a 19 point lead. Seriously. And Ime next time "call a friend" to get a play because that last play sucked. I thought it would be the Tatum Cha Cha 3 clank but it was a difficult guarded fall away shot by Schroder. I think I would have preferred the Cha Cha 3 at least we would have had maybe a 15% chance of hitting it.

Schroder needs to cut down on his careless turnovers.

Coach is over his head so far. The team deserves blame too, but this loss is on him.

Was that seriously our go-to game-tying ATO??

Oh my god, Ime is so horrible at coaching offence

Marcus was trying to pass to JT at the post then decided to go to Schroder. I wonder what the real play was.
Yet Schroder didn't even think about going back to JT. Makes me think that was the second option, and it was terrible.

All of Ime's actions are 2 man actions while the other 3 stand motionless. Only on the rarest occasions is a 3rd man involved

They were pointing that out on Celtics Postgame Live on NBC Sports Boston...that they need to draw up plays where there are multiple options and threats

It would have ended up being a fade away mid ranger, but from the left side instead of the right. I guess if it HAS TO BE a mid ranger you'd rather Tatum shoot it, but at least Schroder tried to drive to the basket.

It was a terrible last possession but I doubt the outcome would have been any different had the ball gone to Tatum.

4th quarter turnovers were our demise IMO. Just dumb cross court passes, sloppy carelessness.

We looked so darn good until 4th quarter.
