I will give it to the C's tonight for that crazy come back at the end of regulation.
It felt like after that we would have the momentum and win this one.
wasted a great game by Brown.

Gonna be a looooong year. Buckle up!

Yeah, you're being overly pessimistic here.

Yes, we played horribly and very dumb in stretches, but for this being (a) the first game of the season, (b) in Madison Square Garden, (c) Udoka's first game, (d) missing two important/one very critical rotation piece, (e) Brown's Covid situation, and (f) a historically bad performance by JT, there's some good to take away from this. The first half showed the potential of what we can be, even with a subpar Tatum and no Horford or Richardson.

If anything, Tatum should be the target of all the ire tonight.

4 FTA and 21 missed shots for Tatum. Go to the effing basket. This is why he’s not an All-NBA guy yet,

Positives...they made the effort defensively. Jaylen. Grant Williams made some shots. Robert Williams made a difference guarding Randle. Nice comeback to force OT.

Negatives...no one had any legs in OT. Tatum stunk. Smart spent large portions of the game playing like the guy many of us thought shouldn't be re-signed. The team spent large portions of the game playing like last year's Celtics - minus Kemba.

Our coach may not exactly be the second coming of Red Auerbach when it comes to managing a game. Not a great debut in that regard.  On the other hand his team competed for him.  So a bit of a mixed bag.

The most frustrating part of this night for me, is that even after a career night, Jaylen Brown missed an uncontested dunk that could've ended this game.

Still blaming this loss on Brad Stevens though. Didn't get the C's adequate/quality help.

You mean like letting Fournier walk to pay Smart and Richardson?

And who should be telling him to get to the rim? The coach, perhaps..

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I dunno. I’ve been negative of this entire offseason. Don’t think I liked any of their moves outside of Horford (Kemba looks 100% cooked btw) and don’t think this team is that great. This year is just a bridge year in my eyes. I don’t think half this roster is going to be here by next year.

I like the coaches demeanor and apparent team discipline. But in a game like this u pull ever lever u got. U need challenge at that point late in game. if u lose the challenge so be it. U can't use on the flight home. Plus your team needed a timeout anyway....

Pritchard didn't even really play. We needed scoring but Parker didn't play. The rotation was too short. Tatum just pooped rug!

His legs were completely gone at that point.

How long did it take to put TIMELORD on Randle???
