Still blaming this loss on Brad Stevens though. Didn't get the C's adequate/quality help.

Great game. We learned a lot about this team tonight. What they do well and what they need to improve. If Tatum had shown up we'd have won this one easily, but hats off to the Knicks, they played well. Randle and Fournier were great.

Some bonehead plays by Shroeder….
i believe we will be seeing a whole herd of those as the season progresses.

Funny because I complimented him for smart play before I saw he passed the ball after the foul…just dumb play.

Not thrilled with Udoka’s coaching in his first game. Grant starting and playing that many minutes was a mistake, evident early on. Should have been Schroder, Smart, Brown, Tatum, Timelord. Needed to put a better defender on Fournier, he kept burning Schroder. Not using his challenge was stupid. Hope he’s a Fast learner.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

They showed some fight but leaning more towards already being over this team, same bad trends going on 3 years all on display in game 1 … yuck

Tough loss.

yeah it was a really tough loss.  I dunno man Tatum at times doesn't seem to me like he has the understanding of how things are going in the game to make the adjustments to be elite.  He couldn't hit anything from 3 tonight, you gotta adjust and take it to the rim.  I know it is just one game, but it is the mindset.   He did have 4 assists, but when you got a guy going off like Brown was tonight, and you aren't shooting well then you have to adjust.  Tatum didn't adjust at all.

Good thing we let Fournier walk. He stinks.

Literally the best game of his career. Maybe he’ll be a lot better for the NYK than he was for Boston. Tonight is an aberration until we see him repeat.

Feel like it’s too early to say that, since Al and Josh didn’t even play.

The switching defense has to get a lot better or it has to go.

4 FTA and 21 missed shots for Tatum. Go to the effing basket. This is why he’s not an All-NBA guy yet,

Well on the one hand if the point of sports is to entertain, then I am entertained.

On the other hand that ne hurts. If Brown doesn't get COVD maybe he has the extra oomph to make that dunk. Or is Schroder finishes the layup. Or if the Brown chare is a no call.  Or if Tatum can hit literally anything. Missed opportunity.
