I love watching DeRozan when he's feeling it. Unbelievably smooth

Caruso is so much more likeable now as a Bull than a Laker.

He is.

I still get chuckles out of Lakers fans calling him better than Smart though

Middleton out the rest of the game with knee soreness. That is huge, not just for this game but the series.

Well those fans also thought Kuzma was better than Tatum.

What a shot from Derozan!

This is the basketball Gods punishing Milwaukee for their cowardly tanking to avoid Brooklyn in the first round!

Alright, Chitown! Wear those Bucks down. Hopefully the series goes 6 or 7.

Welp DeFrozen definitely proved me wrong this game. Wonder if this was just a flash in the pan, or if the Bills will actually make a series out of this

Some fun series unfolding in this first round.  1-1 for Chicago and Milwaukee, 1-1 for Minnesota and Memphis, 1-1 for Utah and Dallas, 1-1 for New Orleans and Phoenix.  Even our series is 2-0 but both games have been very close.  This has been good basketball to watch.

Always the excuses. Booker sitting isn't the reason the Ingram was super aggressive to start the game and the Pelicans played much more physical and at a faster pace. Nor the reason Hayes took over the third quarter, Alvarado and Murphy were great again off the bench, and Ingram (37 pts) and McCollum took over the 4th. This is a really, really good basketball team.

Tar Heels let’s not be over the top. Even with their semi strong second half of the season the overwelming majority of the pelicans wins were against Sacramento, Lakers, Rockets and trailblazers. In fact  Ten of their 36 wins came against these teams in the last two months of the season alone. They are not a really really good basketball team by any stretch of the imagination.

Ingram missed 13 games after the all star break.

Oh boy. Coach Bud says Middleton suffered a sprained MCL and will get an MRI tomorrow. Idk specifics of course but this doesn’t sound like some minor thing either. He might miss some time

Booker unlikely to play Games 3 and 4 against the Pelicans according to Woj

This might end up being a 6 or even 7 game series. Pelicans have the momentum and for the next two games, a slight advantage probably

This is really a huge boost for the pelicans. I think part of the reason Paul has been so good since he got to Phoenix is because of how much of an offensive load Booker takes off him. Worse, the drop off from Booker to Landry shamet has to be one of the biggest in the league right up there with jokic to cousins or Embid to deandre Jordan. If the suns really struggle without Booker and lose this series it will create absolute chaos. On a funny side note this has to make the lakers kick themselves even more for missing playin.

I doubt PHX slots Shamet in for Booker. I would assume they'd start Cam Johnson in his place. The Pelicans' team size is a bit of an issue for PHX, and losing Book (even for two games) is obviously a huge blow. If the Pelicans can even split at home against a Book-less Phoenix, they guarantee at least a Game 6 home game. I assume PHX will overcome this issue, but it's certainly not looking like the easy series they anticipated at this point.

Don’t they need cam Johnson to back up bridges? If you start them both who backs up bridges? I don’t think you can play wainright or Jackson in a playoff game.

Bridges is an ironman. He should be playing 40 mpg like H3rb Jones.

I think the Pels definitely win one of the next two at the crib.  From there, it'll be an uphill battle, though.  The interesting part about the Pels is that they're constantly getting better, which makes them more fun to watch, but also difficult to predict.  #Tarstradamus #VenmoInBio

You realize just about every team in the league had one of their best players miss a bunch of games right? I don’t think they are terrible but they are not a really really good team. I think they will be very exciting next year with Zion and a year of experience for jones. A really good team like us or the warriors is heads and toes above them. Doubt they would beat jazz, Dallas with doncic, Philly, bucks, nets etc.

Crazy how big a role injuries are already playing a few games in doncic, Booker, Middleton already missed or will miss time. Even some really important role players like capella and Barnes have also been hurt.
