Booker out 2-3 weeks

That's really tough for the Suns. CP3 ain't getting any younger and another postseason run may be slipping away.

The suns are good enough that they should beat the NOP even without booker. The start of the 2nd round is 2 weeks away. So i think this is still salvageable for PHO.

The 2nd round they'll be playing Utah or Dallas. If Dallas is still without Doncic, I'd favour Phoenix without Booker in both of those matchups. If Dallas has Doncic, I might go with Dallas. I don't see Utah beating Phoenix. Phoenix has better depth.

Looking good for Phoenix to make it to the Conference Finals without Booker giving him time to return. Phoenix still in good shape despite this loss.

Milwaukee, on the other hand, I do not like their chances of getting out of the 2nd round. Boston is clearly better than MIL minus Middleton.
Isn't Luka playing tonight?  At least yesterday it certainly looked like he was going to play today and I haven't heard otherwise yet.

I haven't heard.

He was meant to be day-to-day prior to the playoffs. I have been surprised there has not been more news about him and his return.

If he is back, Dallas should beat Utah and be a real problem if not outright favourite against a Booker-less Suns team.

Is this more first round/end of season injuries than usual? Feels like Middleton, Doncic, Booker, Capela, Barnes all being injured in final game/first two games of season is pretty excessive. Maybe just more high profile guys?

Milwaukee should still have no problem beating the Bulls even without Middleton, but their chances of beating Brooklyn or Boston in Round 2 are low if Middleton misses significant time. Even with Giannis I don't think they'd have enough as Middleton's also been their best closer this season.

Best case scenario for Middleton is this is only a 3-4 day thing, but worst case is 8+ weeks if significant, which the MRI today will reveal.

The next few games at Chicago though could be tricky for the Bucks without Middleton
Milwaukee has currently had problems beating Chicago even with Middleton at home. Don't think it's a sure thing that they pass to the 2nd round

KAT having an excellent first quarter. 6 points, 4 rebounds, 3 blocks, 1 assist, hasn't missed a shot and hasn't turned it over.

Quarter couldn't have gone much better for Minny.  Memphis may have a problem on their hands here.

First and foremost, the Cs still have to focus and fight to win their series against the Nets; but if they are able to move on to the 2nd round, how amazing and ironic would it be if we were facing the Bulls, rather than the Bucks?

Yeah, not counting my chickens (I can't see Brooklyn winning 4/5 against us though!), but it would be a real example of the basketball gods favouring the brave. Chicago at home would be a great match-up.

This Wolves-Grizzlies series is a fascinating one in that, I don't really think that one team is truly better than the other. Just feels like each team will deliver their punches and it feels like this series will go a full 7 with each team registering 1 or 2 blowout wins. Grizzlies got a blowout win last time, now the Wolves might tonight unless if the Grizz make an epic comeback here

It's very entertaining to watch though. I love Morant but man how awesome would it be if the Wolves can win this series. I also think a Wolves-Warriors series could be a fun one since I'm not sure GSW in theory have a great answer for the KAT - ANT duo

Man I thought memphis was a paper tiger, but didn’t think they were this bad. I get giving up a ton of points to Minnesota cause they are very fast based and always score a lot. The shocking part is their lack of offense. 21 points In 14 minutes here is ridiculously bad.

Grizzlies 7-28 to start. OOF. Doesn't seem like they'll even reach 80 points at this rate lol

It's insane. One starter (Anderson) shooting above 33.3%

Grizzlies Reddit is frustrated how when the Grizz make shots, they can't get stops, but when they get stops, they can't make shots

Though Grizz are starting to chip away a little. Deficit cut from 27 to 20. If they can get the deficit to less than 15 by halftime it's still a game.

Prediction, Memphis will come back and make it a good game.   They may have built to big a hole to win, but it will be close in the 4th quarter.
