Hawks have to trade Collins, right?  He clearly isn't a good fit with Trae and the Hawks need to do something and moving Collins seems like their best bet.  Not sure what they could get for him or what team makes the most sense (maybe Dallas), but that seems like something Atlanta needs to do.

How about this

Dallas - Collins
Atlanta - Markkanen, Boban, 26, Dal 24 1st (lotto)
Cleveland - Dinwiddie

Cleveland could then sign and trade Sexton somewhere and get different assets for him since they have Dinwiddie to fill that role.  Dallas gets a solid 3rd player and the big man they are lacking.  Atlanta gets a nice shooting big man (on a reasonable contract), a bruiser, and a couple of 1st's to help replenish the coffers or to use in a trade.

I agree with you they need to make moves and I would imagine that Collins has more of a market than capela. But they are not in a point  with their franchise where they can trade Collins for non immediate contributors (I know Markkanan has a little bit of value but he is really an awful defender). They need to get someone alongside Hunter, trae, huerter and capela that is a two way player. I would also wonder if Nate is on the hot seat. Trae young is talented offensively and it just seems like hawks made zero adjustments that series.

Also I will add it would be absolutely idiotic of the Cavs to get dinwiddie. He thinks he is better than he is and has a reputation of being awful in the locker room. They don’t need to bring that into the good thing they have going healthy.

This might be my fave for dunk of the year

Ehhhh that's a nice dunk but in general I like dunks where the defender actually contests rather than just going for the charge.  Give me Jaylen over Miles Bridges in overtime earlier in the season, personally.

It was an extremely athletic and entertaining dunk but I thought it was a charge.

There was no way in hell the referees were gonna call a charge there.

Because it probably wasn't a charge.

For those interested in why, here's someone that put in some leg-work into explaining it!

Quote
I just framed through the video, and the first frame where the defender's feet are set, Ja already has terminated his dribble and has the ball up above his hips. The first image here:

https://imgur.com/a/hvMRZgp

The way the rule is enforced, for it to be a charge you have to establish position before the shooter begins his upward shooting motion.

This is very close. I went back two frames for the second image, so you can see that his feet are not set, although of course "feet set" isn't necessarily exactly how the rule is enforced - you just have to be "in position." Is he "in position in that second image?

If you frame through the video here:

https://streamable.com/sa8ocg

It looks to me like you can make the argument that he's set one frame before the first frame I grabbed, in that he's "still" in two successive frames by the frame I grabbed, but the upward motion has already begun by the second image I shared - a frame earlier.

I think that the defensive player would often get the call in this situation. It's crazy close. In the playoffs on calls like this I think the officials tend towards no-calls, and this is close enough that a no-call is not clearly wrong.

No, but it was a charge.  ;D

Probably but I'm glad as heck they didn't call it & ruin the moment.
Those kinds of posters are absolutely okay for the rules to be bent a little bit for me.

It was always the Blake Griffin types where the dunker held their opponent down that bothered me. Those were really blatant offensive fouls

The Celtics defense can definitely force a lot of MIL turnovers. Chicago has been able to do it but they just lack the star power and offensive threats to really make them pay, and of course injuries

The Bulls as they are right now are woeful defensively but Giannis gets a very generous whistle so we'll see. If they call it like the Nets series I think it'll be another sweep.  ;D

Oh my god can you imagine how things will be if Toronto wins Game 6 and forces a Game 7

76ers franchise will forever be cursed.

But I am pulling for the Raptors to upset them. I know they hate Paul Pierce, but I think they're a more likeable division foe than any of the New York teams or Philly. I want to see them stun the 76ers and upset the Heat.

If the Celtics can get past Giannis they will win the East , it's just gonna be tough Giannis is the best basketball player in the world right now.

Lol I feel like a lot of people (myself included) said that about Durant a week ago

But can’t disagree. Giannis will be super tough. But also it’s cringe watching because the Bulls have ZERO answer for him. Not Vucevic, etc. C’s at least will force him to work hard and make things tougher.

Giannis will still get his, it’s just can we neutralize everyone else which is slightly easier for the first 2-3 games of the series with Middleton hurt currently

Congrats Bulls for simply showing up to the arena

49-22 Bucks. And Giannis has 19 points which is just 3 less than Chicago as a team  :o

Just looking at the box score:

Giannis is 7-7 from the field ...

... and 5/7 from the freethrow line.

... means he's had 7 and-1's?

Well, we're battle tested coming off an intense series with the Nets whereas the Bucks have been facing preseason level competition in the 1st round.

The Bucks have given up like 25 open threes in the first half.
