Who fascinates me when he plays these games. He always goes with the fun, fast-paced offenses, which makes for some awesome teams. I think that one of the main downfalls in these types of games is overthinking and overly favoring fit over pure offensive talent (which I think I've done in the past).
I always like his drafting philosophies. That historic draft when he paired KD, Nash and some Spaniards was really awesome.
He won that year, right? I adored that team.

With the 12th pick of the 2nd Round, the Houston Rockets select....

Kyrie Irving

I thought about it over Mitchell, just couldn’t bring myself to pick him

Ahh the one who shall not be named! It's hard to be objective here, but Kyrie is a pretty good pick. It's close to where I had him.

My last couple of teams have been like this but I don't think my earlier teams were. I was more defensive orientated back then but offense seems to carry more weight today than it did 5-10 years ago so I switched to more offensive orientated themed teams.  They're a lot of fun to build too.

That said, I did have a defensive minded angle with Luka & Jaylen together. LaVine not the defender Jaylen is so need to re-think that and find a new team balance I like. A lot of the ideas could still work just slightly different. Not sure yet.

Need that outside scoring punch next to Giannis.

Yeah, I couldn't stomach it. I kept looking at Kyrie and then back to LaVine. I did not want Kyrie -- and I do think he would've been great next to Luka. I enjoyed Kyrie & Harden together.

That said, if he was there with the next pick I would've succumbed to taking Kyrie.

G: Kyrie
G: LaVine
F: Luka

Kyrie is terrific value late in the 2nd. I had him mid 2nd. His shot creation, shooting ability to play alongside other high usage stars in Brooklyn is a terrific package. He'll be great next to Giannis.

He's one of three guys I wanted to see Giannis paired with (two guards, one big). His efficiency was on another level this latest season

I'm going to be on pins and needles the whole 3rd round to see who I have to choose from for the last two picks.  Could get really interesting if the players I'm hoping for are gone.

Wow, I must say, this is about the most accurate draft board I've ever made. In my top 25, I have 3 guys left, and only one of them in the top 20. Good choices all around. The only "reaches" I can see would be LaVine and Brown, but barely so. Would have been early 3rd pick at worst.

So early in the 2nd I said the top 3 were my expected top 3 and that I thought it evened out some after that but there were two guys I liked a bit more than the rest. One guy was Zion who was the next pick. The 2nd guy did not selected. I am very surprised at that. I did not like the fit with Luka (playmaker) but I thought he would've been great next to one of the bigs or scoring forwards.

That player will be a great addition for someone in the next round.

Hard to argue with any of the pairings so far. Some have more offense or defense to prove, or health, but they all make sense to me and are fun building blocks. The next two rounds are going to be super interesting as the talent cliffs become less obvious.

Funny enough, Lavine was the guy I had targeted to slip to me.

I think I know who you're thinking of - I definitely gave it some thought, but I simply prefer Beal due to his efficiency inside the arc and simple shot-making. Alongside Embiid I project Beal to return to his 19-20 level of passing, with a certain somebody not playing next to him. But that guy is a definite value-pick now.

The offense v defense debate is interesting with the Bucks, Suns, Heat, Lakers all NBA Finalists the last two years with mostly a defensive mindset. I’m curious to see who you put around those two and if you go all-offense or find more balance.

Prediction time! I think round 3 and 4 is when point guards start flying off the board. I see several teams who's core will be topped off nicely with a great facilitators.
