At this stage I'm finding it difficult to put any separation between teams. Really good level of parity so far. Of course, that's a bit easier when every team has had the chance to take two top-25 guys, but still, it's fun to see.

Next two rounds are probably where things get a bit spicy. The players get less well-rounded, and personal preference comes to the fore.

Yeah, for most of these drafts, it's pretty difficult to rank teams solely on duos. It's how you build around them that makes the difference between winning and losing.

I'll be here at 6pm EST sharp tomorrow to wreak havoc with the 1st pick. Or maybe it'll be chill. I haven't decided yet.

The Pacers select Paul George
I was dreaming of PG13 and Tatum together for whoever took Tatum late in the 1st. Heck of a tandem. Lot of size and scoring chops at forward.
I was dreaming of PG13 and AD together :'(

Also think that it might be unwise for teams to start going gung ho for guards, but that's just me lol.

Nice reverse psychology there. You just want them to not pick guards so they can all be left to you, huh? 😁

More than half of my draft board is filled with non-guards, so no

I think the Giannis/Kyrie duo is the clear winner of the first two rounds. I'm no fan of Kryknee, but his game is genuinely great - very high level on-ball play with off-ball traits that allows him to play next to on-ball teammates and still retain offensive value.

The CP3 & Durant and Lillard & Towns combo are my two favourites.

The talent fit is there, but I think Kyrie's personality would drive Giannis crazy.  Those two might be the two most opposite stars in the NBA.

For me, it's hard not to love what the Wolves (Embiid + Beal) and Thunder (AD + Butler) are doing with their combination of defense and scoring at all three levels (presuming the Thunder can add some shooting which should be plentiful, but even without it they should be dangerous). Those are my two favorites so far. No glaringly challenged teams, but those jump out to me. Others have more to overcome / overcompensate for in the coming rounds (some defense to make up for overdoing offense, some need to pick the right complements to two similar players, and some have interesting personality conflicts). All more than doable and everyone seems to be set up to potentially make a run.
2023 Historical Draft: Toronto Raptors

Point Guard: Anfernee Hardaway, Fat Lever, Terrell Brandon
Shooting Guard: Paul Westphal, Paul Pressey
Small Forward: Marques Johnson, Danny Granger
Power Forward: Jermaine O'Neal, Bobby Jones, Kiki Vandeweghe
Center: Marc Gasol, Serge Ibaka

Those are my favourites as well if you're talking from a stylistic point of view. Just feel that Giannis and Kryknee are an excellent fit next to each other.

Glad that AD/Butler is getting some love :). Btw I like the idea of Curry/Bam, but I feel that there were better bigs (talent and/or fit wise) available.
