For me, it's hard not to love what the Wolves (Embiid + Beal) and Thunder (AD + Butler) are doing with their combination of defense and scoring at all three levels (presuming the Thunder can add some shooting which should be plentiful, but even without it they should be dangerous). Those are my two favorites so far. No glaringly challenged teams, but those jump out to me. Others have more to overcome / overcompensate for in the coming rounds (some defense to make up for overdoing offense, some need to pick the right complements to two similar players, and some have interesting personality conflicts). All more than doable and everyone seems to be set up to potentially make a run.
Glad that AD/Butler is getting some love . Btw I like the idea of Curry/Bam, but I feel that there were better bigs (talent and/or fit wise) available.
Interesting, I'll have to circle back to ask you after the next round or two once they've been presumably taken. I had one other player in mind but I'm hoping to find passing, free throw shooting, and reasonable shooting 1-5 so I passed on a different profile. After that, there are a couple players who were in the mix but I didn't think they offered as much versatility or anywhere near the ability to be a defensive anchor. Bam and Curry to me give me incredible flexibility defensively, in the halfcourt, on the boards, and in transition. We'll see how it goes with finding fit with my next two picks to keep that dream alive.
