Let me explain why. Listening to an OKC thunder podcast and the guy doing the video was a rational fan, explaining he did think moses was the starter this year and possibly down the road, and was genuinely surprised they traded him.

Also said he was a monster on the boards with solid upside. All good things to hear.

The issue here is that all the years we have had no size or severely undersized bigs. Not one time Danny couldn't find an under the radar big who had legit size and was a borderline starting center or Good back up?

This was a very telling trade IMO, for  Brad's first trade. I think he addressed one of his biggest frustrations as the coach.

lol

The way things are going, I'm not going to let myself get attached to anyone until I see them on the floor in a green jersey.

I guess I'm going to have to run down to the pro shop and swap my Moses Brown Jersey for some player who might actually be here this season.

When Stevens was asked about Brown a couple weeks back, it was a very political answer when he said they'll take a look at him. Which ment to me, "we moving his butt when needed".

From video he looked ok. Rebounds well, but all over the place with his body. Bit of a spaz at times. Fine backup, but if he didn't become anything more I wouldn't be surprised.

This also lends that there are other deals in mid or in the works. Wyc said it was going to be a busy July, just didn't say it was going all be on the last day of it.

Well, we are thin at the center spot again.

If we are counting on Horford and TIMELORD to be healthy all season we might need a little rethink. I guess this will be another wheel-spinning season like last year.

Just an odd decision. We took on Richardson (and his salary) and actually had to give up a promising young big to do it. Would be way more reasonable if we just gave up Edwards or Fernando.

Funny enough, Horford and Richardson apparently were targets for this new front office, as we had to give up assets in these deals. The Thompson deal is the only one where we had control.

Meh, whatever. I still like the JRich trade a lot! Never had high hopes for Moses Brown. Slow-footed 7'2'' behemoths with no 3pt range aren't starting material in the pace and space era.

NBA fans tend to overreact when a guy has a big game.  The coaches and scouts have a much better picture because they've probably been tracking this guy since AAU and their verdict obviously is that Brown is roster-filler.

He's got one NBA skill and he plays hard.  So does Semi - only Semi's a more useful player because his one skill is defending wing guys.  Rebounding is not considered a real valuable asset in today's NBA.

Now we have an injury prone guy and a 35 year old manning the middle next year.

We are also 2 days prior to the start of free agency. We'll sign someone to become our 3rd stringer. No big deal.

Grant can provide some cover at the 5 as well. Not that I like his game, but he's still under contract.

It's true. It looks like another gap year. It could be worse we could be Washington or Portland.

I like how so many people were comparing the 16th pick to Brown when we made the Horford deal, but now we are saying he is a trash big man with no future in this league.

Looks like Brad really did give up a 1st (2 actually w/ OKC’s latest deal) to take on an iffy contract in Horford. He was that desperate to get rid of Kemba.

Brad had about the same view of Moses Brown as me.

See ya.

A team with Lopez, Giannis, and Tucker just won the title, we might need a bigger boat.

As of right now. Who would have guessed this many move in a short amount of time. Still have plenty of summer left.
