Smart, Waters, Edwards, Langford, Prichard...Wow, until I saw it in black and white I forgot how bad it is.

Waters and Edwards are G-league players. Langford could possibly surprise if he ever stays healthy, maybe.

If Prichard can adjust to the size, speed, and talent in the NBA, he may also surprise, maybe.

That's a lot of maybe's, behind Smart as the starting PG, who's actually is best coming off the bench.

I'd like to take a shot on JJ Redick if he is available on a minimum deal. He had an awful year but I believe he can bounce back. Shooters do not forget how to shoot. Give him a summer's break and a training camp and I'd like to see how he'd fare as an end of bench player.

As some haver mentioned in other threads, I wouldn't mind T.J. McConnell. He's a fiesty defender (had 11 steals in a game this past season) and can really pass the ball. Celtics could really use what he brings to the table.

I had him in the list originally but when I realised we already have Prichard, Edwards and with Waters possibly returning, I took McConnell out.

Yeah, I am not a fan of putting anyone in Pritchard's way. If we can get a quality starting PG - fair enough. But I am not putting a run of the mill solid backup PG as competition to Pritchard. I'd rather develop the guy we got. He is a good player.

I like Pritchard to back up a veteran PG. I'm not in favor of Smart as the Celtic's starting point guard.

My guess is they will get a PG.

I want Pritchard to get minutes, he is an outstanding player under pressure in big games. He played 140 NCAA games for Oregon, best to see what he can do.

Smart is more of a point than a shooting guard.

Maybe it will get him to shoot less and pass more.

You might have a full roster with Fournier, pick 45 and Yam. Unless there is another trade I don't see Cs adding another FA. If Fournier walks, I could see them just going for undrafted SG or SF and let Langford start at SG. They also have TPE if a team wants to send a expiring and a pick to open up salary for a FA signing. C's should consider helping another team out to make the most of the TPE. So its Fournier or nothing in FA if I was makin the call. Roster I expect if Fournier is in.

Smart/Pritchard/Edwards
Fournier/Langford/Yam
Brown/Nesmith/ 45
Tatum/Parker/Grant
Hordford/TL/Moses

#45 will hopefully be signing a two-way, and hopefully we can dump  Edwards.

In this draft I feel if you can lock up a 4 year deal in the top of the 2ND round you do it as I expect there should be very good talent still available till pick 49. Not sure what options are available on current two ways.

I'm not against dumping Edwards just think they may not want to spend to upgrade the 3rd depth chart PG in the rotation. He might get 6 mins every 3rd to 5th game played.

Cameron Payne would be the FA I would go after! Trade Smart to the bulls for Lauri Markkanen. Payne, Brown, Tatum, Markkanen,  Rwill!!

I agree on all of the above.  Though I prefer Smart as starting PG rather than starting SG, because he is horrible off the ball . Backup PG would be better though - or better yet traded to another team for somebody who doesn't take 27 threes a game at 30%.

I don't like the idea of overpaying Cam Payne off of one hot playoff run

I agree completely.

If the Miami Heat decide against signing Lowry I think he’d be perfect on a 1 + 1 deal or perhaps a sign and trade with Toronto if the numbers don’t work.

I don't think this first move is the only one, it is relly unprobable that it is the only Stevens move, as the first season can't be just a step back with unloading Kemba. If that was the option, Ainge should have stay to take the blame, before entaming the reconstruction. Many thought also they were no Kemba problem and were sure we would come back with him. Finally he is out really quick.

For the other moves it is obvious we need a PG and maybe more depth.

I would like : Smart (even if I love him)+ TT for Barnes, then use MLE to get a PG (in order of priority but opposite order of prob) : Lowry, Rose, Mc Connell, Smith, James, Bradley. Then sign Reddick with min and bring Madar to learn and adapt. Don't resign Fournier (I regret we don't have kept the full TPE for maybe a 3 month Fournier loan with a 1st round exit)

Rose/ Pritchard/Madar
Brown/ Langford/ Reddick
Tatum / Nesmith / 45* or vet min (Ariza ?)
Barnes / Parker / Grant
Horford / Timelord / Brown

This is a very good and complemntary team right now with a big shakeup, but still room for our young guys coming fro the bench and some vet and great profesionals also mentoring (Horford, Rose,Reddick, Ariza, Parker).
The big advantage of this team is that Rose and Barnes would be 2 years contract, like Horford, with only Timelord extension question next year, but a lot of room for 2023 FA (or even next one if wanted). Without extending Fournier or Smart which could finish our FA hopes.

Lonzo Ball would be perfect for this team: size, defense, pass-first, can hit the 3.

We need to get rid of a lot of dead weight and get some real NBA players. Get rid of Waters, G. Williams, Yabusele, Edwards. As much as I love Tacko not sure he will ever play any serious minutes.

Resign Fournier & Jabari.

Sure I would love to add a JJ Redick at minimum for a bench scorer.

We need to trade TT to open up the position and get rid of his salary.
