Hopefully the Nets cool off in the 2nd half. Shot nearly 60% from the field. Yeesh.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Tatum was scoreless that 2nd. WOW

Unreal how that happens.

Hard to score when 3 defenders converge on you in the lane or when you’re getting doubles thrown at you or when refs are letting defenders back you. He’s been moving the ball, to his credit.

They need Kardashian, Fournier and Smart to come up big in the 2nd half offensively. Tatum isn’t scoring 50 being double and triple teamed, the other guys have to make them pay. 7-25 from 3 for 28% and36% overall isn’t going to cut it, not with the Nets shooting 60%.

Nets shooting 50% from 3.

JT finding it much harder to find space tonight

The Nets are throwing everything at him, and we don't have anybody in our active roster who can take any pressure off of him.

As much as this site loves to hate Kemba, at least he requires attention from the opposing defense.  But right now they're putting three bodies on Tatum and we can't even punish them for it.

I couldn’t understand the glee when Kemba was ruled out. Even if he goes 3-12 they have to guard him because he’s a microwave scorer. Right now Langford or Pritchard doesn’t instill the same fear so the Nets can easily trap JT all night long
Pritchard currently 2-5 and 1-2 from deep. That's more efficient than Kemba - he's just not getting any run! The coach is playing role players like Semi who can't hit the side of a barn anymore for some reason, instead of Nesmith
He's not playing because he can't defend Kyrie or Harden.
Neither can Romeo? Harden-Durant-Irving have outscored our whole team. We're not going to win by defending them. That's not how we won game 3

I don't think we can give any reproach to brad with the core he has to manage. Pritchard is of course not the solution, he probably have the worst +- in the serie and even isn't shooting good anymore. OK you can argue Semi shouldn't play over Nesmith as he probably will be gone in 2 match from there and Nesmith still be here. But that isn't changing much. Just a miracle may save us.

Tatum was getting triple-teamed and hitting the open man with passes. They're just missing

I wonder if that Thunder team would have won multiple titles if they would have kept that team together.

I dont get the constant switching.  Do we want TT guarding Harden?
It's so foolish. We just saw Tatum get 50 because we were able to generate switches at will. Now we're seeing the opposition demolish us with it and we're not changing anything?? Such amateur coaching

It really is dumb, especially because nobody really "forces" the defense to switch. It's just assumed that you will.

Have to admit though, despite how that 2nd was it's loud and pretty electric here at TD Garden.

Would be nice to see a rally and 2nd half battle from the team

I'd like to see Kornet get some burn stretching the defense and blocking some shots.

Tatum has checked out

Huh? Tatum is doing about as well as possible out there. He's essentially getting triple teamed out there, but he continuously finds the right, open man. The "others" just suck outside of Smart tonight and can't hit anything.

Agree 100%. Brad needs to find ways to get him clean looks in the 3rd.

Half the times the screen doesn't even touch the on-ball defender. They just swap... for no reason, and give the offence the advantage

They may need to runsomePnR for jT to get quick shots off, he won’t be able to iso as much as he normally does because they will trap him immediately

Not enough balls.
