Remember '08 when Danny did a great job filling in veterans who could play to come off the bench.
Posey, House, PJ + homegrown Leon & Baby made a huge difference for that team.

JT finding it much harder to find space tonight

The Nets are throwing everything at him, and we don't have anybody in our active roster who can take any pressure off of him.

As much as this site loves to hate Kemba, at least he requires attention from the opposing defense.  But right now they're putting three bodies on Tatum and we can't even punish them for it.

I couldn’t understand the glee when Kemba was ruled out. Even if he goes 3-12 they have to guard him because he’s a microwave scorer. Right now Langford or Pritchard doesn’t instill the same fear so the Nets can easily trap JT all night long

Pritchard currently 2-5 and 1-2 from deep. That's more efficient than Kemba - he's just not getting any run! The coach is playing role players like Semi who can't hit the side of a barn anymore for some reason, instead of Nesmith

He's not playing because he can't defend Kyrie or Harden.

Wait... we’re defending Harden? I just see JH13 waltzing to the basket for easy layups every time. He hasn’t even really gone to the line much

They don't appear to be able to shoot though, and PP is a sieve defensively, so I am not sure he is the answer. Barring another Tatum master class I don't think it's reasonable to think we have the horses to beat them given our injury situation for this game. I am hoping against hope, but gee it's a big ask. Our talent drops off very quickly outside of first four healthy players.

Well, this was a fun game until we decided to go funhouse mirror on our rotation. We were unlikely to win regardless, but ever since Brad's G-League lineup decision they've clearly controlled the tempo and game.

These are the mind-numbing decisions from him - in a playoff game no less - that makes me think he just can't take us to the promised land. Even in a low stakes game with plenty of excuses to lose, he continues to find ways to mess up.

I'm not at all keen to see Fornier back next season. Feels like we could get better bang for our buck with someone else. He's so, so bad defensively and his offsense isn't enough to offset that most of the time.

Gonna be tough to hang with them with this shorthanded roster.

Isn’t rebounding or playing hard defense.  He can impact a game other ways than scoring

It's so foolish. We just saw Tatum get 50 because we were able to generate switches at will. Now we're seeing the opposition demolish us with it and we're not changing anything?? Such amateur coaching

Huh? Tatum is doing about as well as possible out there. He's essentially getting triple teamed out there, but he continuously finds the right, open man. The "others" just suck outside of Smart tonight and can't hit anything.

It’s not like he wasn’t trying though. The few times that he got to the lane, he was hammered and didn’t get a call. He’s been passing the ball well on double and triple teams, it’s just that the other Celtics can’t hit buckets. I hope Brad makes adjustments to free up JT in the 3rd.
