This was a really good first weekend of playoff basketball. I have to say though, I'm feeling jealousy for fans of teams like the Hawks, Grizz, etc right now because those teams are playing their best ball, with pretty much healthy rosters, and sparking conversations in podcasts / on social media etc about how bright their future is, how well the teams have done constructing the roster, etc.
Not so long ago that was the Celtics! Here we are with a team down one of our best players (again) in the playoffs, staring down a rapidly approaching off-season where the mood around the team is going to be anxiety and frustration, with the conversation being who is going to get traded and how are they going to fix the roster. Not to mention that the Celts are basically in cap hell right now and we're all gonna be arguing about the luxury tax and whether it should matter for how the team tries to add talent .... which is just not fun.
I don't want to spend the next ~6 months dwelling on how the Celts are going to get back to being a team with a bright future that makes you feel good instead of frustrated. But it is what it is.
