Stop apologizing for Stevens....it was a Bonehead move to take out the starters with over 9 freaking minutes to go on the road...gave the Lakers the momentum and confidence...you gotta leave the starters in til around 5-6 minutes...especially since the Refs aint gonna call anything--like the foul they didn't call on the Pritchard 3 pointer attempt.

Meh. I thought it wasn't too bad (of a move).

We got the W in the end; and we've learned something about our extended bench.

Something we didn't know?
Put it this way;

It put it into a clearer perspective, and I took a screengrab for the next time someone wants to trade Edwards for Bradley Beal ;) hahahah

As frustrating as that ending was, it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Not a single guy from that lineup is going to play a minute, come playoff time. All that concerns me is our starters and our bench production, and both were great tonight.

Everyone on the roster should be able to play. Look how many players the Lakers are down.

It was a good win. I guess Brad just likes to keep it exciting.
How many of those guys are gonna play in a playoff game? Again, deep bench doesn't make a difference when you tighten up the rotations.

It would've last year when we only had 5 players against Miami. You never know when you need more players.
You really think better 13th and 14th man would have made a two game difference? Sorry, but that's very laughable.

Never seen so many turnovers in a span of 2 min. Wagner with 2.  Edwards with a travel.  Waters gets stripped

It was a nightmare

Is Brad drunk?

Why would you play that unit with 6 mins left

This was the same thing that happened vs Raptors

They were up 27 and needed to make about 4 buckets in order for it not to become an issue. They couldn't do that. Not Brad's fault.

I disagree

Brad can never do that again

Maybe with 3 mins left in the game

I agree with this ....the starters worked too hard to put those losers in with 9 minutes to go ...bad on CBS

Nah. This is just your anti-Brad bias coming out. Up 27, you pull those starters. That's the right move and a move every coach in the league would have made.

I don't see the big issue as much.

Whether they play an extra 3 mins or have to play with 3 mins to go - at least with 3 mins to go they've had some nice rest?

It might have depending who those guys were. Everyone on your roster should be playable. I've been saying that for 3 years. We were playing against the Lakers 2nd and third stringers and they played hard.

Shame on the bench for blowing a 27 point lead in such short time, and against a bunch of scrubs too.

I'm really liking our 8-man rotation, come playoff time. Kemba-Fournier-Brown-Tatum-Timelord, with Smart-Pritchard-Thompson off the bench. Langford-G.Will-Kornet playing spot minutes.

You pull the starters but not your 2nd stringers with 9 minutes to go. Pulling Pritchard who was clicking was a mistake.

Exactly...starters put in the work they deserved the rest. The third stringers embarrassed themselves.

This is just an incredible stat from Jaylen:

Jaylen Brown finishes the night 15/17 (88.2%) from the field, the best shooting performance on 15+ FGA in Celtics history. This is the 32nd time in NBA history a player has shot 88+% from the field on 15+ attempts, per Stathead."

Don’t forget that one of the misses was a half-court heave.  Those shouldn’t even count.  Just like a team turnover, they need a team field goal attempt.

I think they have the ability to at least not give up 20+ points in 5 minutes. What happened is clear, they came in, they didn't take it serious, Mo Wagner gave the ball away 3x in a row trying to make hotdog high risk passes, Tre took stupid shots, they thought they were going to play it like they were in the park the last 5 min and the Fakers had other ideas. It's a 100% mental lapse and when the Fakers closed the gap they panicked. It's pretty embarrassing to be put in to get some garbage time and then get yanked with a minute and a half to go because you almost gave the game away.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Yeah, but you don't go right to the end of the bench with 9 minutes to go. The bench could've finished this game but Brad went straight to the end of the bench.
