Every "Sharpshooter" C's acquire, can't throw it in the ocean for us...LOL @ Jason Terry giving his insights during the game---he was one of these guys.

Who was Ray Allen then?

a guy who Bricked us out of the 2010 Finals...while Ron Artest was hitting 3s.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Gotta love the overreactions. Literally hasn’t had a single practice with the team. Brad needs to run some plays for him early against Dallas on Wednesday. Get his confidence up.

Reading the overreactions are what makes CelticsStromg fun to be honest...it’s like watching people on a rollercoaster

So statistically, at this moment Fournier is the worst player in Celtics history.  How many players can say that?

Nowhere to go but up....Seriously though, I really thought this team had turned the corner after the last 2 wins on the road---only to wake up to hear JB was gonna miss tonight's game...BS man, cannot catch a break...but at least Fournier was gonna play, to make up for the loss of Jaylen Brown....ugh.

Still plenty left to play for - we're still very much in the mix for the 4th or 5th seed to avoid the big three in the East in the first round and we have a good collection of players (yes it includes Fournier for people who think that I love to trash him) who can compete with the big boys when they're clicking. We just need to find the right balance on both ends of the floor.

I've been pretty consistent with my take that you don't want Fournier to do too much on the ball unless you want him to fall off a cliff in the postseason. He'll be perfectly fine playing the role we gave him last night - be active off the ball to hunt for good looks where minimal on-ball creation is required, space the floor for the Jays and Kemba with the threat to make open threes at a high clip and be an emergency ballhandling option in a pinch.

I thought his shots although they did not fall were not forced and fell within the system.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
If you are going to be bad in your 1st game with a new team, you may as well be laughably bad. And, honestly, outside of shooting, I thought he played pretty well on both sides of the ball. There is no reason for him to be horrible moving forward, so hopefully he has been able to shake his nerves and will come out a little more 'himself' next game.

Is this going to be the Fournier watch, when we all lose our shizzle after he makes his first basket in green?

Fournier played exactly like we expected outside of the donut.  He hits his shots the C's win this game even without Brown.  Feel bad for the guy.  1st game with a new team, 1st game that team had fans in the stadium. The new team is missing their 2nd best player and Allstar and you are expected to pick up the slack with zero practice and just learning the plays.  Outside of all of those factors his D and passing were fine.  His shots selection was great.  Just couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.

Fournier only played in 10 postseason games with Orlando, So that’s not a large sample size. His numbers were bad, but Kemba has not exactly been killing it either.. in 17 post season games with the C’s Walker is shooting 44% from the field and 31% from 3pt.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Not just his first game with the C's but his first game with a new team in 6 1/2 years. I'll cut him some slack.

To be fair Walker was never demoted to being a third or fourth option with us in the playoffs, ntm he was playing through an injury for half of that run. FWIW Kemba was still decently efficient as a scorer overall, he averaged 57.3% TS in that run (above regular season league average last year) while Fournier has never even cracked 50% TS in his entire playoff career.
