At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Bane and Tillman just put The Grizz over the top. Who says that players at the end of the draft aren't going to help a team win?

If we had either of these guys it would be a lift.

I find it hilarious that posters at this site complained less about Danny taking Kelly Olynyk over Giannis Antetokounmpo than current posters are complaining over trading the 30th pick last draft and not taking guys who have low ceilings and aren't guys that would move any needle all that much, if any, for this team towards contention for a title.

I didn't realize the Celtics skipped Reggie Miller and Dirk Nowitski. How is this thread still going on? I mean threads regarding not taking Giannis weren't this long. ;D

I think it more has to do with the fact that Danny gifted the pick to Memphis and a lot of people on this site were high on Bane going into the draft. Tillman was another second round pick that would have been an upgrade over Grant, Semi, Kornet, Waters, Tacko, etc. Tillman and Bane might have a lower ceiling, but the guys on the C’s bench that I just listed have no upside whatsoever. I think having bench players that can actually contribute to winning games does move the needle.

Tillmam is definitely an upgrade over those players you listed

He outplayed Draymond Green yesterday

Tillman leonard size hands was the difference  ;D

You hit that nail right on the head. We need talent upgrades so you don't just give talent away to keep players that you can't even play in the playoffs. Tillman and Bane are both playable in the playoffs.
