Wonder if he's got no comment on shooting 7-23 and playing some pretty poor defence in some sets?

not a good shooting game

but he had 6 assists and actually drove to basket/got to the line

and yet his poor defense was crucial to the outcome of the game.

Where's the trade proposal for JB?

Because its one mediocre defensive game

He is usually good

Brown is close to untradeable.  His game has taken another leap.  On top of his strong defense naturally

Brown is fearless and doesn't just settle for jumpers

He took 10 threes last night despite only hitting 3. What did you say in the other thread? If its not your night, stop shooting. Jaylen settled for jumpers just as much as anyone in the game yesterday.
Those standards only apply to guys who like Kobe

If you're Jaylen Brown and you shoot 7-23 in a game, any finger you're pointing should be aimed at yourself, regardless of what else happened or didn't happen.

IMO, what happened in the final 4 minutes and OT is secondary. We had a 21 pt lead with 4 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter, and 12 minutes of game time later it was tied. You can't have stretches like that, and you can't have Brown & Kemba shooting 12-44 against anyone, or we're going to lose no matter the opponent.

As a team, CBS and the Celtics have to figure out what the offense is going to be when opponents lock down on Tatum.

This is a huge problem area, and it's nothing new. Using Tatum in that point forward role is fine by me, as long as we actually have a plan for the inevitable double-teaming of him as soon as he crosses half-court. Toronto and Miami did it in the playoffs, and teams are doing it now whenever Tatum starts to tear them apart as the primary ball-handler.

Our offence then routinely falls to pieces. Tatum gets doubled, the remaining 4 guys stand their stationary and watch it unfold. Infuriating

What did he say to finger point?

He stated "we"

And yes the team has to quicken the pace . Body moving

Why is this quote even news?

Knowing JB and how smart he is and careful with his words, "No comment" probably meant "You're trying to bait me into throwing my teammates or coach under the bus, no thanks."

He took 10 threes last night despite only hitting 3. What did you say in the other thread? If its not your night, stop shooting. Jaylen settled for jumpers just as much as anyone in the game yesterday.

So if he had hit just 1 more of his 3s, he is 4-10 and we win the game in regulation.  Or if he had pump faked one of his missed 3s (ending 3-9) and drove to the basket and got fouled, we win the game in regulation.

That is the deal with 3s.  Kind of like hitting in baseball.  Hitting one or two more a week and you go from shooting 33% to 40% and being a star.  (based on assuming 5-15 vs 6-15 in a week, or say 8-24 vs 10-24 in a week).  That is just part of the deal when you rely on the 3 too much too often.

But you can't criticize Brown for going 3-10 in an overtime game.  Now if he goes 9-30 in a week or 27-90 in a month, OK, maybe you start wondering.  But you can't pull out one 3-10 game any more than you can say a baseball player needs to stop trying to pull the ball because he was 1-5 in one game.

For the most part, I don't have a problem with Jaylen shooting. I was addressing the hypocrisy of the poster I was responding to.

Or "I'm not telling you our playbook"
