There is ZERO chance that Danny Ainge is trading for Al Horford, much less trading Kemba for Al Horford. Forget it.

Yeah, why would they want to have two players that can help the team win, vs one who is just hurting the team game to game for essentially the same money. Makes no sense at all.

Don't get your blood up about it. I'm saying, no matter what you think, i think, etc.... in the real world, Danny Ainge is not going to re-acquire Al Horford. He's also not selling Kemba Walker out to OKC, regardless of who he gets back. Both are bad for business... period. He's not going to do either.

Frustration is setting in with this team.  Brad is about to lose them.  Wyc needs to step in and put ainge and brad on the hot seat.  With their window closed by the end of the year

If Ainge was truly in the hot seat (no way is he), wouldn’t it behoove him to trade away the young stars for win-now, proven all-star vets?

Ainge isn’t trading Kemba for Horford. I don’t think adding yet another big to this roster is going to really help much. Cs need a wing/swing urgently, not another big. I think he’ll use the TPE and trade off some of the young guys/picks to get someone who can fit in the the Js.

A few weeks ago I would have agreed but at this point Kemba and his contract are trending towards becoming a negative asset.

I didn’t say there’s no chance he trades Kemba. But I do not see Ainge sending a veteran, max player who signed as a FA last year — who WANTED to come to Boston and has been a leader and a model Celtic since — to NBA Siberia.

If Kemba is traded at some point, Ainge will be careful to put him in a good situation he can justify to the player... and just as importantly, to potential future FAs considering singing here.

Oh, and even if it weren’t OKC, he ain’t trading Kemba for an overpriced old big who can’t defend and who walked from the Cs to sign with the Sixers.

Even if you think he'd be a good fit, it's basically impossible to acquire him in a reasonable way.
TPE isn't large enough, so Kemba Walker needs to be included but I doubt the Cavs have any interest in him as they have Sexton and Garland. Don't see it happening and I'm not sure Drummond is really that better than Theis or Timelord.

I'd have Drummond over Thompson, but again the contract is a problem.

I don't think Ainge/Brad are on the hot seat

But, in this modern NBA with so much player movement there is a clock on Ainge/Brad to show they can get this team over the hump within the remainder of Tatum/Browns contract.

It would be a shame if we waste a year of having two of our players average near 30 ppg

now, do I think it would be a mistake to trade away 1st rounders for 36 year old Reddick? yes I do. but if we can get Harrison barnes (28) who averages 16ppg or Aaron Gordon (25) who is averaging 13.8 ppg would be huge adds to this team. and are young enough that they can be longer term solutions with this team.
