With the 8th pick of the 13th round, the Milwaukee Bucks select Tobias Harris.

Need a big shot...?

Call Robert "Big Shot Bob" Horry!

Interesting question - who is better as starting PF - Robert Horry or Clifford Robinson?

It's close. Not much in it between the two of them.
I think my third string PF, Bob Love, is better than both.

Also an interesting question. Fair question.

Man, Bob Love could've been a starting PF in this league. Or a high end bench PF. Certainly that. I like him better than primary backup PFs.

Love would translate well to today's game as a small-ball type PF. That SF-PF flexibility he had helps his value greatly in adapting to today's league.

Yeah, I'm leaning towards Bob Love over both Horry & Uncle Cliffy. Great draft pick.
Horry was no where near the player that Uncle Cliffy or Bob Love were.  Horry was basically a bench role player for much of his career.  He came up big in big moments, which is absolutely useful, but overall skill not even in the same stratosphere as those other guys.

Love and Robinson are just different types of players.  Robinson is one of the few players in history that filled all of the stat categories.  He was a superb steal generator and solid shot blocker.  He could pass, rebound, and score.  He was an excellent shooter for his era, and would have been even better today.  Love is the more classic old school PF.  Good interior scorer, solid rebounder, great foul shooter (for a big man), etc.  As a starting PF on a regular team,  you might prefer Love to Robinson, but in this setting I'd take Robinson every single time.  His versatility just makes him uber valuable on these all star type teams.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

For me its Robinson. He does more on the court.

For the 9th pick 13th round going with Indiana's own Jalen Rose

Able to play PG-SG-SF we welcome his small-ball ability and the fact that he won MIP in 99-00.

18 pts, 5 reb and 4 assists in 99-00 with a 3pt% of 37.

Nice pick and I love that Jalen gives your SF rotation something different from Majerle and Rashard Lewis. More of a ball-handler, shot creator and playmaker for others. Options. Different styles. I love that.

Thanks to everyone stealing my picks the Spurs are forced to go into the pool of backup, backup, backup selections.

I need a guy who can get the ball to his teammates. Someone who can defend his position full court and can back opponents down to score.

very unspectacular but efficient
very smart on the court

Spurs select

Thanks, good value this deep in the draft I think. He is not spectacular, but he can make the right play and get his guys involved. The season I will pick he averaged 11.5 assists per game and led the league in it.

Nice choice, steady and reliable player and has been that way wherever he's played.

So what is the rules for the coaches round?

No one in the top 10 all time wins?

I actually vote to not pick anyone top 20.
Takes Red out of the equation. Also Dantoni and Carlisle too.

We haven’t settled on whether or not we’re actually locking in a coaches round, let alone rules. Think we should leave that to the weekend after all the drafting is done.
