Devin Vassell

He would be a really interesting wing addition. I would guess that #14 will be his floor and if the Cs really want him a minor trade up is likely required.

I am really intrigued by Vassell. His court awareness and his freakish length. He looks like one of the most NBA ready guys in this draft.

Is he that long? I saw that he has a 6'10 wingspan as a 6'7 wing, which is good but not great (Jaylen's wingspan is almost 7 feet as a 6'6 wing).

Yeah Jaylen is freakish to me while Vassell is "just long".

point taken. if you watch Vassell he really thinks the game. He would play right away for the Celtics and it’d be fun to watch Theis, Tatum, brown, Vassell, smart on the defensive end.

Cole Anthony

he says he interviewed but hasn't worked out with Cs. To me he is a prime candidate to be the surprise #14 pick or even a minor trade up (#14 and #30 to Kings for #12 and #43 similar trades can be made with Spurs or Pelicans). Out of everyone in this draft Cole is best suited to take minutes and pressure off of Kemba.

I disagree

The only player Danny takes at 14 will be someone they workout. Or like Okoro dropping for whatever reason

Most years I would 100% agree with you however this year with the teams limited to 10 workouts I think misdirection will be in play. If I'm the Celtics I avoid working out the player or players who I want at #14 unless that player is a perceived reach. Two players I really like for the Cs are Anthony and Maxey neither have been reported as Celtics workout participates.

If word gets out that the Cs want an individual they open the door for teams in the 10-13 range to try to squeeze them to include the 26 or 30 to move up.

fair enough...this is a fair statement

But wouldn't it surprise you that out of those 10 they do workout, none are eligible at 14 or they all fail to meet Danny expectation?

So he would on a whim....go for Anthony??    I just can't see Danny do that/reach like that without at least a workout.

Not only ask how Anthony is feeling (injury situation) but also see it in real life how he has healed etc.

I feel like if Anthony drops to 26 or 30, Danny would take him as a value pick . Like Timelord.

CFAN38, what is it about Cole Anthony you find appealing?  He was pretty dreadfully inefficient at NC. I know he had good HS record, but we can only take that too far.  He is the one guy I would be supremely disappointed in if we selected him at 14 (never mind trade up to get him).

If we draft Anthony at 14, I’m gotta just throw up
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Draft day is fast approaching.  Likely all the private workouts are completed by now

Usually by this stage, Danny loves to get in last minute workouts/2nd workouts. But won't be allowed this time

Feels like a more nerve wrecking draft than usual.

Definitely makes him a more interesting prospect if this is true.

Agreed.   As well he has shot the 3 well at practice

Dig the dedication. I wonder how much quicker/explosive he is now
