Unfortunately these reports mean little until the refs are actually reprimanded.

Yeah, this stuff means nothing to me.  It is not even worth paying attention to, you'll just make yourself angry if you let it.

The NBA has no reason to do anything different, people continue to watch in droves.  So you know they will never deviate from the course.

Truly elite teams ultimately over come anyway.
The refs miss calls just as the players make mistakes.  If we're looking for perfection, then you're going to be happy about anything.

So I'm not sure being reprimanded is the right approach.  I mean, if a ref really sucks and isn't good enough when compared to his peers, sure, he should not be a ref.  But you're not going to reprimand a guy for human error.

I know this.... the next time tony brothers is reffing a playoff game for the Cs, I’m placing a bet hard against the Cs.  If I’m gonna get screwed, I might as well make money doing it.

....and if they win.  Then I still win

One way to ensure there is transparency and no conspiracy amongst refs is to keep their identities undisclosed from each other until the start of the game and they should also be kept apart at half-time. No opportunity to collude.

Tim Donaghy was literally fixing games, and was able to blend in with the other referees. To me, that is a massive fail on NBA referees as a whole. How can a "legit" referee make the same mistakes as a referee that was intentionally making bad calls?

Can someone tell me if "QAnon" has an NBA division?

As I reflect on the TOR-BOS series so far, some of the calls AND how giddy the NBA seems in having a Game 7 (and TWO NBA games on a Friday) I can't help but think something's amiss.

And NOW we have Scott Foster? He of "Game 7 2010 NBA Finals" fame?

Something's up. QAnon I feel you - even if it's just for a min lol.

The best solution to me is expanding replay. First, make more types of plays reviewable. I know this is easier said than done, as challenges on non-calls are difficult to implement without stopping the action (and that’s like basically calling a timeout when the other team has the ball).

Second, the coaches need more than one challenge. Three seems fair. And they keep them if they are successful, if not they are charged a timeout (and the challenging team can’t join the bench like an actual timeout). If this delays games far too long, that means the refs are making too many mistakes.

Third, just add a fourth referee already. I don’t think more eyes necessarily means more whistles. In a multi-billion dollar company, employing like 15 more referees seems like a worthy investment.
