This is going to be a tough series. Hayward is going to be a huge loss this series. Toronto has fits playing the Cs this year because they had no answer for the trio of Hayward/Tatum/Brown. It’s going to be much tougher to win this series.

That being said, Lowry injured himself tonight too so who knows how bad that is.

It won't be easy but I think we can take the Raptors without Hayward. We really need him back for the Bucks series though. I have my doubts that he will recover by then.

Thursday for Game 1 Celtics/Raptors. The Lowry injury looms large now.

Predicted Celtics in 6 and I'll stick with it. Much depends on Lowry's injury status though.

That schedule is nice.

If we can scrape through this series in 7, we have a good chance at getting Gordie back. Fingers crossed

Hi fellow Celtics fans. Watching Larry Bird as a young school boy in the 1980s made me a Celtics fan. Am now living in Tokyo since 2011 and have followed the Celtics message boards for many years without posting.

Am optimistic about the future with the  Jays, Kemba and Marcus Smart. I honestly think that reaching beyond the ECFs this year is an important objective for Brad Stevens and the Boston Celtics. After already reaching 2 eastern conference finals Brad Stevens now needs to show that he can guide his team to the big stage and a finals match up with the best of the west.

Hoping for Celtics to see off the Raptors in 6.

If Kanter and Timelord step up from the bench that will be a game changer.

I know this as a fact.

it will be harder for the Raptors to beat the Celtics than the Nets.

My heart says Celtics in 7.

Mind says Raptors in 7.

I do think this series is going the distance though.

you mean your " wallet " says Raptors in seven

I think Celts can win in 7 ,  CBS out coaches the other team , IF we can get to game seven .

But .....i would not bet on the Celtics winning the series without Hayward.

His injury pretty much sank us once again from going anywhere big  it seems.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
So much for the Conference Semi-Finals beginning on 8/31. If the Cs are able to get by the Raps, they will definitely need the Bucks/Heat series to go the distance for any chance at getting Hayward back for the ECF. We should all be rooting for the Magic and the Pacers tonight for sure. That'll at least extend the other ECSF.

Celts in 7.

This Toronto team is a dangerous one.

Honestly just think the celtics are a better team...respect to the raptors and I could very well be wrong but I like the celtics in 6

Difficult to predict at this point.

Still, I predict Celts in 5. If they fail to do end it before 6, I think they're not getting into the ECF.

They really need to keep the point production of guards Lowry and Van Vleet and Siakam low and slug it out in the rebounds.

If kemba plays this way, I say Celtics in 6, if he doesn’t than Raptors in 6.
Aldo i am going to say that this is a great matchup for us, and with GH healty, I wouldn’t doubt the outcome.
An asterix to my first sentence, if kemba plays under all star level, and our bench contributes better than usual, we still win.
Second asterix, tatum ans brown might go supernova on them
