My biggest concern is how are we gonna guard Toronto's bigs? With who are we gonna do that? If we manage somehow we can get pass them...

I honestly think we are not good enough for Toronto right now. I think Toronto will win the East. If we manage to get pass Toronto i think we can go all the way and grab the ring. :)

Couldn’t disagree more. I think Toronto is a good regular season team (depth), and playing the roster the Nets put out made them look better than they are. I have the C’s favored even without Hayward (with or without Lowry). Even if Toronto were to beat us, Milwaukee handles them without difficulty. I could also see Miami possibly beating them.

Lol Miami wold not beat Toronto in a 7 game series c'mon man they lost the finals MVP and arguably the best player in the world and have a better record then the Celtics and swept their first round fairly easily and have also only registered one loss in the bubble...

The disrespect is real!

Why?   Have we not seen regular season juggernauts that had a lot of depth but not enough top stars for the playoffs?  Like the 2017-2018 Raptors who won 59 games.  Top seed.  Swept in the east semifinals by the Cavs.  Deeper talent team lost to the top star heavy team.

Hopefully the same thing they did with them in the regular season.   They didn't kill the Celtics.

Prime Lebron swept the Raptors... Arguably the second best player of all time in basket-ball...

The Celtics do not have that kind of talent

Toronto is playing great. So are the Celtics but Sixers are/were a mess. Not sure how this will go down but I think it goes 7 games. The great ones usually come up big in those games. Hopefully, your turn is now Tatum.

Boston in 6.

Tbh I don't have this feeling about Raptors to be an extremely tough opponent for C's, that I had last season and a year before. Neutral court, Lowry is questionable (tho I guess he will be ok), JT should be the best player on both teams, 3-1 in RS (in this case I view it as a marker of current state of affairs), Kemba's great defense on VanVleet in those games..
Their bench rolling is one thing I'm seriously concerned. Grant, Romeo, Semi and others should step up. Also obviously Ibaka/Gasol match-ups, but since guys made a decent job with Joel, it doesn't seem that scary.

My heart says Celtics in 7.

Mind says Raptors in 7.

I do think this series is going the distance though.

If Lowry does miss time, then I might pick C's in 7, or even 6 actually. Toronto's still loaded and they got a good bench, but without Lowry I think Kemba could really give them trouble and go berserk.

Can't wait for Thursday if Toronto does lose I really hope Celtics make the Finals... I can't stand the Bucks and Mike Budonhozer I want Giannis to leave....

Do you want Giannis to leave because you think he'll join the Raptors?  Or you just don't like Milwaukee?

I'd be scared of Giannis leaving and forming a new superteam somewhere else, making a path to a championship for everyone else that much harder.  I think the best thing for 29 other teams in the league is for Giannis to stay in Milwaukee.

But obviously if you think he'd be leaving Milwaukee for Toronto, I'd understand where you're coming from.

So far been hearing rumors or speculations about Giannis to the Warriors but that's that.
Again, that rumour is total nonsense. The real threats to poach Giannis are Miami and Dallas in free agency. Golden State have nothing to offer trade-wise for Milwaukee unless they offered Curry, but his salary is $16m bigger than Giannis'. If the Bucks were looking to trade Giannis I feel as if we'd have as good a crack as anyone at putting up a potential package

Giannis won't be traded he'll play his last season to the best of his ability if they fall short he'll leave in free agency... I don't see the Bucks trading him if he doesn't sign an extension.

Idk if it’s been mentioned here but FYI, Game 1 will be at 6:30 PM EST. They announced the schedule yesterday but not all the times. Only Game 1’s time is announced for now but there are rumors that Game 2 on Saturday could be the primetime game (ABC, 8:30 PM EST) UNLESS Clippers-Mavericks play a Game 7.

Hmmm.

Raptors with the home-court "advantage" and a bench that just put up 100 points albeit it was against the hapless Nets. Division game and division rivals.

If Lowry doesn't play, I like our chances of beating them by 10-13 points. If he does, we'll be in for a tough night.

So....

We have the best player in the series, and arguably 3 of the best 4 players overall.

Our bench and roleplayers are solid.

Yes, the Raptors won the title last year, but they lost their only superstar.

What am I missing here? When is the last time a team lost under those conditions? I feel pretty confident.

My guess is we win in 6. Their vets and defense will do enough to give us some problems, but our young legs and crunch time scoring talent prevail.

Could be reminiscent of the C's / Pistons ECF in 2008, when a veteran Pistons club just ran out of gas against a team with more elite scorers.
