Flashback to 2016! The Cavs just pulled off the most impressive comeback in NBA history. Lebron may have been the engine, but it would have been possible without this guy. After spending two season in Siberia (trust me, he did, I swear), he joins my team to earn a second ring. With the 11th pick in the 6th round, I pick one of the clutchest guys in the league...

Kyrie Irving!!!
Love how ballsy this pick is. All-Villain team!

Not a fan of the Rondo pick for Utah, as I view Rondo as just a smaller version of Kidd. Especially in these historical drafts, with so much talent available, I'd want the bench PG to be able to come in and provide a different look, not the same look.

I normally do agree with the different look approach.  But for me here
1) The Rondo-Shaq connection is too good IMO to pass up.  It even opens up the option of trading Kidd and starting Rondo if a great deal comes around.  Rondo could deliver amazing passes to set up Shaq, Reggie, and Peja beautifully whether starting or off the bench.
2) I've got a strong enough team identity so far that it might be wise to not change up the style of my team

The main downside, and it is a considerable one, is I would not be comfortable playing Rondo and Kidd on the floor together.  (With 2010 Kidd I could do that, but I won't be selecting 2010 Kidd, so I don't see as a viable option for me.)

To anchor the 5 spot, the Clippers are going to add some flamboyant hair to a fundamentally boring bunch.

The Clips select:

Joakim Noah

Actually I encourage people regularly following to also vote when it comes time for that.

Sneaky great pick as a starting  defensive center getting him in the 6th round

Thanks! I had about 5 defensive guys listed, but his passing and perimeter defence made him my top target.

Joakim Noah was always a binkie of mine. Thought he would have made an incredible Celtic the way he played.

With my bigs that’s the route I’ve kinda gone - guys who I would’ve loved to be Celtics. Both of them would be revered had they played here

It's so odd how quickly Joakim Noah dove off a cliff, from being the MVP discussion, to being out of the league. He was such a good defender in his prime.

What I love is that Noah can run center field on offense in the pick and roll and distribute to open shooters when they double team Curry, similarly to Green.
