With the 7th pick in the 6th round, the Oklahoma City Thunder selects Bradley Beal for added two way play.

Thought he would be taken soon. He and another 2 guard this year were enjoying awesome years that seemed to show a leap in offensive prowess

:o I thought he was average at best defensively but a maestro on the offensive end of the court (again just my evaluation of his play). Just going to post this regarding his defence lest I get into another shouting match lol: https://soundcloud.com/thinkingbasketball/44-2020-sub-all-stars (section on Beal starts at 9:35, includes his offensive prowess)

Dang. Siakam and Joe Johnson were 2 of my top 3 choices for this round. Great picks. Beal too.

One last check of my draft board ...

I think there is a forward from Duke who would have been a better pick than either of Siakam or Johnson, but not by a lot, and I suppose I could see an argument the other way.

Boston Celtics select Danny Granger pick 6.8

Granger will provide good cover for Durant at SF while Durant rests and maybe play together in some small ball forward combinations with Durant at PF.

I wanted a strong outside shooting SF to maintain style of play.

Great choice. He was sweet in his prime

That's a great pick, too.  Not as much defense as the guy I was thinking of but certainly more offensive creation.

A brief peak, but man was it a great offensive one

You're really doubling down on building an offence that will tear anything that's not elite defensively apart, are you

Yup  ;D

Complete opposite of what I intended to do entering the draft but that is usually the way it goes for me. Bad at sticking to my initial plan. Getting Nash in the 2nd round changed everything. I was going for a two way defensive minded center before that. Lots of defensive minded two way players around the Durant aka the great scorer of this generation.
