It's super early, but the Nash-Durant-Gasol trio definitely caught my eye.   That is some serious offensive firepower.  I'm just surprised KD fell as far as he did in the 1st round.  The only players I think should have went ahead of him are LeBron and Shaq.

The Clippers are nice too. Loading up on Dukies is always a good idea.

Miami and Denver are the early front-runners for best defensive team with maybe a slight advantage to Miami.

A shooter. I think you need a shooter. Preferably someone who can create for his own too, but shooting should be top priority.

May I ask, what do you think my team needs?

Maybe a good primary playmaker? PG and Pierce are good passers for their position, but I think they would thrive more if they were able to play off-the-ball more.

Loving my three so far.

Dirk gives me a unicorn of a PF and an all-time great offensive player. He's going to demand an opponent's best defender(s) and double teams - which he can then pass out of to either Joel or another teammate.

A matchup nightmare is Dirk.

Embiid - dominates offensively and defensively. He has no weaknesses in his game. If he is doubled he is an exceptional passer. Has a good FT%, numerous post moves, is PHYSICAL, has an edge to him and can hit enough from deep to keep most honest.

He's a capable defensive anchor, proving how PHI was 3rd best defensive team last year with him on the floor.

Two seven footers that can play off of one another, with different styles. Dirk's going to love Joel's picks as well.

Tony Parker gives me a reliable floor general and scoring threat at the PG. In Pop's system his numbers were never flashy but he is capable of scoring in spots and a decent deep threat.

He is a capable defender as well. If he wasn't he wouldn't have played for Pop.

His and Dirk's Finals MVPs help to lead this team.

Need a few other pieces but I know I can get them over the remainder of this draft.

As always I'm open to comments / suggestions.

I thought so too. But man, there are a lot of talent there that's left, and I'm picking 3rd tomorrow, I might get tempted to take BPA despite the fit.

I seriously have no idea how I'm going to stop a Tony Parker - Dirk Nowitzki pick and roll. I really don't know. . .

More offense creation.  Your team is probably the best defensive team so far.  That's a confident guess based solely on who you have without looking at all the other rosters.  But after having called out Philly for needing more a tad more offense creation, I see your team is noticeably below them in that regard.

I see a guy who would be great on your team, but I can't PM him to you because he's on my list of targets. :P

By the way guys, thank you all for such excellent participation with zero drama. That's not always the way with these games and how everyone is comporting themselves makes my job as the commish so much easier and more enjoyable.

So everyone gets 10 TPs. I will dole them out tomorrow morning before I open things up for round 4.

Also, just a reminder that Friday starts our two a days. So, remember, two different times to make picks and the picks go faster. For those proving lists, make sure they are long enough.

Great point, that is a deadly duo.  And their C (Embiid) can stretch to the 3 point line too.

That's fair. I think my reasoning is there is a bunch of fantastic shot creators left, so I haven't focused on it as much yet.

Yeah, I think you need an offensive engine. Someone that can score and create their own offense as well as score within the flow of the offense.

However, be smart about it. There are some guys that fit that description but who you should stay far away from. Their fit would be awful.
