The Boston Celtics take Kevin Durant with the 7th pick.
I think this is a high value pick. I had Durant at #3 after LeBron and Shaq.

I have him 4th on my board after Tim Duncan. I agree, e is a steal at #7.
I had Timmy 4th.

Had three guys at the same level at this point.  I choose the one I would most enjoy arguing for.
TP. Best way to play this game. Pick guys you like and would like defending.
^^^this, I'm willing to die on the KG hill

Exactly. Who wouldn't want to defend Timmy D?

Well congrats. That's a pick you really didn't have to think twice about.

Choosing the nicest guy in the modern era is unfair!

I had him either at #3 or at #4 behind LeBron, Shaq and possibly behind Duncan. Never expected him to be available at #7. Great pick!

I had Curry #3 on my draftboard. Really hard to overrate the effect on the game of him being on the court.
So an excellent pick at #5 in my opinion.

Now it gets more unpredictable I think. These first 5 guys taken were always going to be in the top 8.
I would have had Curry #3 too.  His shooting efficiency is nuts.

Mind talking about why you rated him so highly (obviously just curious about your reasoning)?
I think him to be the best scorer of the period who can score at an elite level in every way. Physically he is a matchup nightmare given his size and can get his shot off against anyone. Add in his rebounding, passing ability and defense as well as amazing playoff performances and that puts him #3 in my book.

Let's not forget, he is a 50/40/90 guy and there aren't a lot of those.

I'll probably have to go the other way and take guys I despise  ;D
Although I hate LeBron with al my heart I still would have picked him at #1 anyway as well.

Ah fair. I do rate his offence very highly (I think he was just short of the offensive GOATs due to his passing limitations despite his improved passing game), but I'm skeptical on his defence being significantly impactful, the tape and and numbers imply that he was an above average defender instead of being an elite one.

I'm ranking picks on how sexy the image they chose for the player is. Sorry folks, but I'll be taking first place.
