Miami has agreed to trade Justise Winslow, Dion Waiters and James Johnson to Memphis for Andre Iguodala, Solomon Hill and Jae Crowder, league sources tell ESPN. No picks in the deal.

And no picks?

Memphis taking a risk with an often injured Winslow

Frank Isola: Knicks trying to land Kyle Kuzma in a deal that would include Marcus Morris. D’Angelo Russell, who was a tidy minus-48 vs. Brooklyn last night, also remains a target. – via Twitter TheFrankIsola

Kuzma for Morris? Knicks would need to include extra for sure

And not sure how they can get Russell unless they include their 1st pick

Great trade for Miami, I think they are the clear #2 in the east right now

I dont

Iguadala is old

Gallo is a defensive liability

If the Heat got someone like Kyle Lowry, that would have been bad... but not this imo

A bit of a risk, yes.  But they do get to go into the big free agent class of 2021 with max room and a core of Moranr, Jackson, and now Winslow to try to make a pitch for an elite free agent.

Quote from: James Edwards III
The Celtics made an offer for the Pistons’ Christian Wood. Detroit wasn’t interested in that offer, per a source.

Quote from: Jay King
Hearing Wood will likely stay put — and that the Celtics and Rockets are among the teams that have shown interest in him.

It's probably been stated earlier in this thread (I'm too lazy to look, sorry) but imagine if Danny had been able to trade all those picks to Charlotte in order to draft Winslow.

Of course maybe then Winslow wouldn't have been injured and we could see how good of a player he really is (or isn't).  But just by the eye test we dodged a huge bullet!

I wonder what was offered

Edwards and a 2nd?

Woods was waived and bounced around multiple times. Danny had chances to obtain him for free

Miami hasn't gotten Gallo. At least not yet, unless I am behind on the news.

Why exactly. I am not sure they did anything in that trade that made them better than Toronto or Boston.

I think it will happen

OKC is trying to finalize a 3 year deal in order to trade him to the Heat

He is a FA next season

OKC/Miami talks have fallen apart.

This is likely because most configurations would involve OKC taking on money making them a tax team when one of their goals in trading would be to duck the tax. Add to that the fact that Miami doesn't really have picks to give (and OKC has a lot of picks already...)

Now maybe they figure out something over the next few hours, but OKC isn't going to make their team worse for this year AND take on money without something very good in return.

Yeah, more just shuffling the deck chairs. I definitely think the Iggy for Winslow part of the deal was a downgrade for MIA, but they probably got a slight upgrade with Crowder/Hill. Still, while I am not a fan of Waiters, the dude can light it up when he is feeling it. It's always good to have somebody on your bench who can win you a playoff game from downtown.

If they somehow acquire Gallinari without giving up any of their 'core', then that could be a scary move, but it's possible Crowder might be the replacement for Gallo.

I am surprised by the amount of people that think Iggy is some difference maker. He averaged 5 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists last year and shot 33% from three. He also hasn't played organized basketball in almost a year. Maybe he is an ok 8th or 9th man, but he is hardly moving the needle at 36.

If Gallo stays put then Miami really haven’t done much.
