Pat Riley is taking a big chance with this potential trade. I feel like Miami's biggest strength is their chemistry, so why change it?
Because they're not quite as good as their record. They're a good team but they are a clear 4th in the conference when it comes to overall level of play. They profile more as a 52 win team not a 58 win team.

But you add two quality players to a 52 win team and you could vault right into more in line with what your record is.

That zone that Miami is forced to play because they so many subpar defenders isn't going to fly in the playoffs.

Exactly. Butler can only guard one player. Teams like us will feast on Duncan Robinson, Tyler Herro, and Dion Waiters.

Ouch
Far out that’s annoying. Hoped we could have gotten at least one of these guys, yet Philly got both. >:(

What's more annoying is that I think the Warriors couldve gotten more and didnt.

They will have Iguodala to help out in that area now.

I think Woj speculated that the lottery-protected Brooklyn pick given up for Capela might be the best first rounder on the market.

Also, I remember all the Tyreke Evans hype two years ago. Evidently, no team offered a 1st for him.

What's more annoying is that I think the Warriors couldve gotten more and didnt.

They're continuing to just cut salary, pretty much every deal has them taking none back. I know it's a down year for them, but they need to keep some guys if they're gonna try and win again next year

It would make sense if they were looking to drop further below the hard cap to allow them to take on more salary in a Russell trade, but everything I've seen says he's not available
I'm bitter.

They might be incentivized to dump Looney as well.

Quote from: Yossi Gozlan
After trading Burks and GRIII, Warriors just $488,031 below the tax with just 11 players on the roster. They’ll need to move off Looney or swap Russell for someone cheaper if they’re going to finish the season under the tax.

I wouldn't mind trading for Looney. It seems that he has regressed this season, but he's still a talented prospect at the C/PF positions.

Looney for Poirier straight up works in the trade machine. We'd have to find a 3rd team to take Poirier though.
