I find it interesting that the OP says that it’s crazy to trade Hayward when if there were a trade, he’s the guy most people would choose.  I guess he’s trying to make this sound like a hot take when it isn’t.

If I was trying to make a trade to make us a contender this year, I wouldn’t trade Hayward.  I would trade brown or Tatum.  I trust Hayward considerably more than either brown or Tatum to be consistently good in the playoffs.

Because of his contract situation his value may be even lower than it should be.  I’d play this year out, re-sign him in the offseason to a multi year deal, and can revisit trading him in the future if you want.  Plus Theis and Kanter are holding their own at center and we’ll get Robert Williams back at some point.

Roberson is done as a NBA player I fear, and if you're trading for Noel its to replace a C. I wouldn't do that deal myself, I don't think Gallinari is even an upgrade over Hayward similar value players. Gallo provides more FTAs and 3s and Hayward more passing.
