GSW dynasty had to end sooner or later.
KD's ego just couldn't accept the fact that he won championship because he joined a championship team.
If they still had Klay, they'd be fine, but his injury is a huge obstacle. They'll deal Russell as some point, but I'm not sure what they'll be able to get. They could also keep Russell and go with a backcourt of Curry, Klay at the 2 and Russell at the 3. Wouldn't count the Warriors out yet.
If they had Klay, but they don't have Klay.
It might take the Warriors a while to be relevant again.
Even when they had Klay, Steph, and Draymond, they got beat by Kyrie and Lebron in 2016.
It was only when KD joined GSW that GSW looked invincible.
I'll never understand Durant. If he stayed in GSW, they could've had a dynasty (an even bigger one that what they already had.)
What does he think? He'll win a string of championships in Brooklyn? Amazing how sometimes the best athletes can't get out of their own way.
Perhaps he actually listened to the criticism about joining a 73-win team that just beat you in the playoffs, and now wants to show he can win after joining an average team.
or maybe he just wants to live in NY.
