Ben Simmons hits as many or more 3's than all C's rookies combined.

I guess you don't expect Carson Edwards to play, LOL.

I’ll be the optimist - I think we win it. While having a huge disadvantage down low, we seem to be a much more natural fit together than them. I expect to see us really push the pace and shoot lots of threes to pull them out of the middle for Kemba.

Still don’t buy the fit of Al at the 4 for them. Yeah, they should have pretty good interior defense, but Al simply can’t guard stretch 4’s out on the perimeter full-time. I think by mid-season they primarily end up using Al as an Embiid-saver at the 5 to give Embiid plenty of rest, in addition to using them together for defensive possessions.

And that offense is a major question mark at best. Seems to be mismatched and not a great fit together, like at all.

Philly lost a great deal of scoring with the loss of Butler and Reddick. And right now the bench isn't very good either, actually worse than last year. They need another shooter. The loss of Horford hurt us actually more than it helped them IMO. Al isn't a big scorer, as we have seen.

The Celtics are predicted to be weak defensively in the paint, (especially on the pick and roll) and lack a solid power forward. But we should be a potent offensive unit with a solid bench. I'm hoping to see a scrappy unit on defense, playing at a faster pace on offense than last year, which should increase the over all number of shots taken. A good thing!

Celtics by 4.
Actually disagree with that.  It helps them more than it hurts us because Horford was probably the best EC big man at guarding Embiid.

thought the same thing.  If Edwards get 15 minutes, I wouldn't be surprised to see him hit as many as the Philly starters.

The matchups are really interesting. I assume Richardson guards Kyrie, and Embiid guards the C's center (whoever that is). But beyond that how do you match up Brown/Tatum/Hayward with Horford/Simmons/Harris? So much length and simmons is a good perimeter defender but speed is on our side in those mtachups.

What are your guys rotations where Edwards is getting 15 minutes opening night?

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

I would guess something like this:

Kemba (34), Brown (28), Tatum (32), Hayward (30), Kanter (24)

Smart (30)
Theis (18)
GRANT (16)
Carsen (16)

Various (12)

I don't think it's a stretch to pencil in Carsen and Grant for 15-16 minutes apiece.  They were among the best 8-9 most reliable / impressive performers during pre-season.

One thing we know about Brad is that he's going to be experimenting with rotations and lineups well into February / March.

I don't think you even have to drill down that far.  As I mentioned, I think it's an IF Edwards plays 15 minutes but it's not a stretch.  He's likely 4th guard in the rotation as a proven scorer.  first guard off the bench after Smart.   also figure some of Jaylen's minutes as a forward.

Edwards will see the court in all likelihood.  question is for how long and if he hit more 3's than their starters in even shorter minutes.

Huh?  You can't count the head to head games when making that statement ... it's arbitrary how you assign Horford not guarding Embiid ... helping Philly or hurting Boston.  You have to consider that statement only in games they are not playing each other.
