I predict Poirier puts Horford on a poster

Timelord, then he says "The future is now, old man. It always was."
I'll definitely be happy with that. Call me sour, but I want Al to get postered

Embiid is going to be a problem.  But it's one game, so anything can happen.

I really like Brown and Tatum against Simmons and Harris. Obviously their bigs should eat us up pretty good. Our bench should be a plus for us.

For us to have a good chance, I think it all depends on whether Kemba can carve up Josh Richardson or not.

Hayward has been sick since last Friday and missed practice today.  Hope he’s good to Wed.

I would like to see the team without Hayward.

I think they would be a lot more fun with Kemba (PG), Smart (SG), Jaylen (SF) and Tatum (PF) starting together. Kemba as the main guy and offensive engine. Tatum and Jaylen as 2nd and 3rd scorers. Smart as the secondary ball-handler and low volume shot taker. That group would have much better on-court chemistry together. I'd love to have Smart and Jaylen together on the wings defensively.

It would be great if Hayward could rebuild his trade value so we can ship him out and bring back a quality starting center. I want Jaylen to get to play his natural position (SF). Jaylen and Tatum are the future of the team.

Unfortunately I think we will get blown out. But I don't think that will be indicitive of our season.

I don't mind that lineup, but the bench would be putrid on offence. Absolutely no play-making with no Hayward/Smart on the bench.

Didn't see that. Ew. I hope Simmons, and to a lesser extent Embiid, never win. Also don't want Al to win on our biggest EC rival.

I love Horford and Simmons is a lot of fun. Embiid is interesting. Josh Richardson is likable. That Thybulle kid is downright lovable. That is a fun group.

Plus, they're BIG! In a sucky era of three pointers galore ... I'd love to see a team win by going big and beating up those smaller teams.

Plus, I don't like any of the other contenders. I don't like Bucks (mechanical, over-reliant on Giannis and he can't make a jump-shot). I don't like the Clippers (not because of their players -- it's just ... the clippers, bleh). Lakers might very well be second choice despite LeBron because I love Anthony Davis so much (and also Rondo). Heck, I am even rooting for Dwight to get it together again (I loved him in Orlando).

The Warriors are a maybe. Steph and Draymond are awesome. I like WCS. We'll see what state Klay is in come playoff time. Not a D-Russell fan. But ... they've won enough. I'd like to see a new Champ.

Philly #1
Lakers #2

I'd love to see Al win. He deserves it. Most deserving long serving vet who hasn't won a ring yet. He was a superb player for the Celtics. Represented this team with class and a full commitment to teamwork. I'd love to see him win in Philly (while Boston is still getting their own house in order).

Sorry, I don’t want any team from Philly ever winning anything. I could care less who is on the team.

Ben Simmons hits as many or more 3's than all C's rookies combined.
